I have had issues for some time now, and after being sick in the hospital from food eaten at restaurants as well as a pinched nerve causing urinary issues, I have had to take up protection almost 24/7. I work out at a gym and bring disposables with me. Chances are, I am okay during the workout, but who needs to take a chance like that?

I try to be discreet about changing in the locker room. And loose fitting shorts never reveal anything unless I am bending over. Let's face it, my health is more important than what I am wearing that may not be in conformity with many others.

If someone is looking and giving a funny or dirty look, then they are looking too close! I would think that not spreading potential germs is more important than anything, and I can guarantee you wearing what I wear is far cleaner (and more protective of others as well) than what they are wearing considering they are sweating through their clothes and sitting on equipment that I probably am going to use. The ones that may stare are probably the ones that also don't wipe down the equipment after use!

Wear what you need to wear, make an attempt to be discreet, and go about your business. I have become confident most people aren't going to say anything. If they do, then they are simply schmucks.

I wear diapers and rubber pants under my biking shorts without any problems or fear of leaking H2O. I have also been wearing my rubberized swim diaper trunks over a light disposable diaper while doing pool execises at 24hr Fitness and while occasionally getting a stare from others, it is not a problem or embarrassment. If someone asks me about my trunks, I'll just respond with "it all Depends on why you're asking."

I run long distance and am training for the DWD Marathon. The diaper I wear while running is a Pampers 6! Okay, at this point it doesn't make sense so I've got some explaining to do. I'm 5'9", 159 pounds and my waist is 32". Of course, I'm built mostly like a runner but not that skinny. I've made an elastic strap using 1.5" elastic and modified it to work with Pampers diapers. In the center, on the inside of the strap, are three squares of Aplix hook. One is in the center and the others are on either side, about 2" away. These grap the outside front of the diaper like the back tabs are meant to. The other side of the strap, the outside, has a landing zone on each end to accept the Pampers tab. Half the tab is hook and the other half is adhesive. Aplix loop is positioned for the Pampers hook and the shiny side of a piece of PUL is sewn to accept the adhesive. The strap holds the diaper up securely and just barely high enough.

Capacity is not a problem because I lose the most fluid through sweat. The running shorts have a built-in liner that supports the diaper and the outside legs discretely hide it. Even on a two hour run and peeing twice, the diaper is no where near being full. Moreover, my shorts are so soaked with sweat that no one would know if I leaked.

Keep exercising and stay diapered!

i wear a disposable with biker shorts over....(spandex). Over that I wear regular workout shorts or sweatpants. I usually wear sweats over when I work out. I'm not bowel incon so I cant really speak for a #2 mess while working out or running, but if your not positioned right you could have the same problem just wetting. The trick is to have a doubler and make sure your junk is tucked down.

just some thoughts for us guys.

Jason

I have to admit diaper technology needs to move on a lot before it could conceivably become comman place. They first step in the right direction is Stadium-Pal

Why more people don't wear diapers more often is beyond me. I believe that people should wear diapers anytime they're away from home. Public toilets are often so filthy that it's a health hazard to sit down on a toilet to pee or even poop. One doesn't have to be medically incontinent to wear diapers.

It's actually not so bad wearing a pair of shorts/ leggings under your shorts. I actually do it all the time. Because of my job, I work out every day, and though I don't always wear my diapers to the gym, I always wear a pair of tighter shorts under my gym shorts. I do this because i pretty much have to..I have to wear a certain type of shorts to the gym on certain days (it's a uniform thing) and personally those shorts are to damned ..well...short! Otherwise I'd have parts of me hanging out I would rather not be showing! I personally hate the shorts, but apparently lots of guys prefer these "running shorts" to a good pair of track / gym shorts. Me..not so much, and so I keep with something underneath. I have actually worked out in my disposable and cloth diapers and I prefer my cloth diapers. In my case, I don't wear white cotton cloth diapers with pants, I wear a pocket diaper, or an all in one diaper and so it's pretty much made like a disposable diaper so it's super soft, inside and out. Works out alot better for me. I honestly prefer my diapers when riding my bike, expeically if it's a road trip with my buds. One, I don't have to stop to go potty, and two..it's extra cushion on a small seat!
