Just making a quick post while I am getting ready to go out for a “night on the town”. Haha not really on the town but going to go out with some friends and have a good time. I haven’t been able to do much lately because I have been so busy but as I stand here putting on makeup and picking out what to wear and what not it really is just exciting knowing your about to go out for a nice relaxing nice with some girlfriends. I don’t get to do it that often so I try to bask in the enjoyment of it all. Should be fun. We are probably going to end up seeing a movie tonight as well – not sure which one to see yet though. We are learning towards that new movie Tangled – but we will have to see what time it is playing and what we feel like when we get around to that.

Just a quick tip for those who wear diapers out in public or any where I guess for that matter. If you want to wear a thicker diaper like a Bambino, Molicare, Secure, etc. and not deal with it being so tight on you and puffy while wearing it…first, when putting the diaper on make sure after taping it up to stand up and readjust it if you put the diaper on laying down so that it is better fitting. Roll the top of the diaper down so that it does not bulge so much in the front and then push on the front of the diaper and the back to try and “loosen” the diaper up to be a bit less “bulgy” and also to release some of the air trapped in it. Then, place a bit of vaseline on the areas in the crotch to help the diaper slide and not chaff or cause any uncomfortable marks in that area. That is sort of my process for diapering a lot of times…it helps *Some*. It can only help to a certain extent but when going out on a night like tonight where I REALLY don’t want to have leakage issues and uncomfortable issues I wear a thicker diaper (Bambino) and follow those steps almost religiously and it helps me at least. Not sure how that all plays out in the “man part” department as I know that can add an extra “obstacle” I am sure to the bulge. Not sure what to tell you there.

Anyways, I’m off and I hope everyone has a great weekend! stay dry!

This post is going to be a list because I wanted to share some tips and tricks that I think may help some of the ABDL community. I am sure many of you already know some of these but I figured I would list them out:

Pick an adult diaper with a waistband because it really helps to prevents leaks and hugs the diaper closer to your body making it more comfortable.

Take the adult diapers out of the plastic bags they come in to allow them to expand. When the diapers are in the plastic bags, they are compressed, so take them out and allow them to expand so they are more flexible and softer.

When putting on an adult diaper, make the two top tapes tighter than the two bottom tapes. The top tapes of the diaper will make the diaper tighter but the looser bottom tapes will still be secure but allow the flexibility of the legs.

Always pick an adult diaper with standing leg cuffs as this is the single most important thing in a diaper in preventing leaks. You may be surprised how many adult diapers do not come with this important feature.

Change your diaper no later than 1 hour after a super wet diaper and 30 minutes after a poopy diaper. These are the time restrictions I try to adhere to because otherwise I notice I may begin to chaff.

Always put powder on the inside areas of your crotch and on the inside of the diaper. This will help keep you cool but also prevent rubbing and chaffing.

Pay attention to price per diaper in regards to buying diapers to make sure you are getting the best deal if you are watching your budget.

Buy your diapers online and in bulk to reduce costs. Buy diapers in cases from reputable dealers to get the best price. (i.e. Bambino Diapers, XP Medical, Secure Personal Care, etc)

Wear plastic pants to help reduce the smell of a poopy diaper if you are in a public area.

If you are a woman, position diaper doubler/boosters more towards the seat and back of the diaper to maximize absorbency. If you are a man, position the diaper doubler/booster more towards the front of the diaper to maximize absorbency.

Hopefully, some of these tips helped you out or at least reinforced some concepts that really can help you not only maximize your diaper use but also save you money in the process.

You wouldn’t believe the number of emails and contacts I receive asking me about poopy diapers and how to deal with them. Honestly, there is no simple and magical answer that I can give to many of you in an email. So, I figured I would try to explain myself the best way I could about how I deal with my poopy and messy diapers personally in a public scene such as the office, mall, or whatever.

First, I am fecal incontinent so its not like I sit there and choose when to mess my diaper so it doesn’t always happen in the most convenient of places. Things have to be dealt with orderly and you must be prepared first off. My first advice is buy a pair of comfortable plastic pants that fit over your diaper comfortably. This not only drastically holds in the smell of a poopy diaper but also can add that babyish touch. This step is very important. Try to buy one that is not to tight fitting but tight enough so that it can hold in smells. My next advice is no matter what, if you plan or don’t plan to poop your diaper make sure to always use a lot of baby powder in your diaper to help conceal any smell from a pooped diaper. Another advice that some may choose that works very well is powders like Gold Bond or a generic brand that is used for rashes. It almosts smells like menthol and it feels cool to your bottom for awhile. So, if your not too concerned about smelling like a baby then that might be a good option as the smell of Gold Bond or other similar brands is very effective at masking the smell of a poopy diaper.

My next advice is the clothing you wear can make a big difference. I advise wearing jeans or cargo pants as they are very effective in helping keep the smell of a poopy diaper in until you can change yourself. If you wear shorts or really really loose clothing, its going to be easier for that smell to leak out at a faster rate and thus hit the nose of more passer-bys. And lastly a large part of why poop smells is from the food you eat. Artificial flavors and chemicals as well as meats add to that smell. While I am personally not a vegan or anywhere close to only eating natural foods, try to mix in more natural foods including vegetables that are fresh as well as fruits and try to avoid artificial flavors and chemicals as best you can and this will definitely help keep that smell to a minimal.

My advice works very well for me and everyone is different. But, there is no substitute to getting to a restroom or wherever and changing the messy diaper and not sitting in it for 4 hours. If you have specific questions please leave a comment and I will attempt to answer them as best I can by responding to the comment.
