Exercise is an extremely important thing that I participate in daily whether it is running, yoga, cycling, walking, jogging, etc. I am an exercise fanatic and try to stay in good shape. So, naturally I get the question – well how do you exercise in adult diapers without people noticing or just how do you exercise in general while wearing an adult diaper? Very good questions but the answer is quite simple. First, people do notice when you are wearing a diaper – but you can obviously minimize the bulk by choosing a thinner adult diaper. I go with the Secure Plus Adult Diaper because they are one of the best absorbent but high quality diaper on the market but not bulky at all…lots of SAP – so good absorbency compared to store brand diapers. You can also choose to wear a longer shirt to avoid people seeing the outline as much but I usually don’t go to that great of an extent. If somebody asks you about it or whatever – just act like its not a big deal and just say you wear it for protection because you have problems with “leaking” or something along those lines. It is important that you stand confident in your answer and act like its NO BIG DEAL…because the less of a deal it is to you the more accepting they are apt to be about it.

Second, as far as HOW I exercise in adult diapers – nothing fancy really. For running at faster paces I will either not wear a diaper if its for a short distance and just bet on not having problems or I will wear a thin diaper or a couple times I have gone with a pullup (rare). This reduces the chance of chaffing or adding too much weight or discomfort when running at faster paces. When I am cycling or weight lifting – I usually go with a thicker diaper because it serves as extra padding (cyclists know what I am talking about) for sitting on those tiny little seats. So, usually that is a Bambino, Secure X-Plus, Molicare, or Abena X-plus for those times…plus you are more likely to have an accident under low exercising conditions than high exercising conditions. For jogging or walking – I usually go with a thinner diaper like Secure Plus…I have used store brand diapers like Depends or CVS brand adult diapers in the past but have had problems with leaking so I try to avoid those if at all possible. You gotta find what works for you though.

The important thing with exercising in diapers is to make sure you always use vaseline or something similar to it because it allows for reduced chaffing and just makes everything more comfortable in general. So, go out and buy yourself a big jar of vaseline and put generous amounts in the crotch area and butt area before you exercise to help with any discomfort. Or as Peter likes to call it – “lubing up” before exercising. Haha – hopefully this helped some of you even though some of it is common sense.

Just making a quick post while I am getting ready to go out for a “night on the town”. Haha not really on the town but going to go out with some friends and have a good time. I haven’t been able to do much lately because I have been so busy but as I stand here putting on makeup and picking out what to wear and what not it really is just exciting knowing your about to go out for a nice relaxing nice with some girlfriends. I don’t get to do it that often so I try to bask in the enjoyment of it all. Should be fun. We are probably going to end up seeing a movie tonight as well – not sure which one to see yet though. We are learning towards that new movie Tangled – but we will have to see what time it is playing and what we feel like when we get around to that.

Just a quick tip for those who wear diapers out in public or any where I guess for that matter. If you want to wear a thicker diaper like a Bambino, Molicare, Secure, etc. and not deal with it being so tight on you and puffy while wearing it…first, when putting the diaper on make sure after taping it up to stand up and readjust it if you put the diaper on laying down so that it is better fitting. Roll the top of the diaper down so that it does not bulge so much in the front and then push on the front of the diaper and the back to try and “loosen” the diaper up to be a bit less “bulgy” and also to release some of the air trapped in it. Then, place a bit of vaseline on the areas in the crotch to help the diaper slide and not chaff or cause any uncomfortable marks in that area. That is sort of my process for diapering a lot of times…it helps *Some*. It can only help to a certain extent but when going out on a night like tonight where I REALLY don’t want to have leakage issues and uncomfortable issues I wear a thicker diaper (Bambino) and follow those steps almost religiously and it helps me at least. Not sure how that all plays out in the “man part” department as I know that can add an extra “obstacle” I am sure to the bulge. Not sure what to tell you there.

Anyways, I’m off and I hope everyone has a great weekend! stay dry!

Buying adult diapers can be a complex process for some people based on their needs. Many people you would be surprised to find out that they know nothing about buying diapers online such as Abena, Bambino Diapers, Molicare, Secure, etc etc. They probably haven’t seen these brands in their local stores so they know nothing about them. All they know is what the store gives them and hence are missing out on a lot of features that some of the best adult diapers provide. So, their choice is simple for the most part because the selection is so limited in stores and the quality is so poor. But, for the rest of the people that have discovered the advantage to ordering adult diapers online have come to find that it can be a complex choice on which ones to go with based on a lot of different factors.

I know for me when I look at buying adult diapers and which ones I choose to ‘invest’ in I go for the best quality (i.e. best absorbency, tapes, etc) because this in essence will allow the diaper to last longer and takes a lot of the worries about leaking out of the picture. Price is also a major factor in buying adult diapers…probably the biggest factor for a lot of people. I for one am a fan of an “all in one” price meaning that the shipping is built into the price and your just paying for what is advertised. I hate getting to the end of a checkout cart and then seeing any amount extra added onto shipping – that always makes me hesitate to buy things because no matter how much it is, its a mental thing for me. Some of the big players in the adult diaper world do this all in one pricing and I think its a huge advantage.

One thing to look at when comparing adult diapers (especially premium adult diapers) is not only their features that come with it but the cost per unit. That means if a case if $50 for example and you are getting 40 diapers then the cost per diaper is $1.25. This is important to take into consideration because while one sites price may appear cheaper for a case – it may just have more or less diapers in the case.

There are many tricks that some companies will enact that you may be unaware of…I will demonstrate one way companies do this. It is a prime example and nothing against the company – it is just how they lure you into buying their diapers. ABUniverse offers their Cushy diapers for $99 for 80 diapers…that puts the price at $1.24 per diaper basically. This is disregarding the fact that the Cushy diapers aren’t as absorbent or have as many features as some of the best adult diapers like Abena X-Plus, Bambino, Secure, Molicare…but anyways back to the point. ABUniverse is going to charge you shipping now which significantly increases the price per diaper. UNLESS, you spend $100…then you get free shipping…so they made the price $99 ($1 below $100) so now you have to buy something else to get that free shipping which may not be a problem for some but for those counting the pennies – this may be an issue. This is just one of those techniques some diaper companies employ to lure you into purchasing their diapers.

This does not even take into account the features of the adult diapers – absorbency, tapes, fit, leg gather effectiveness, material used, clumping, etc. Many of these features are extremely important and should definitely be considered…like clumping…while it does not seem like a big issue it can be a big issue in various ways. If a diaper clumps for one it can be uncomfortable for the user because now you have this huge clump of material in your diaper. Second, it DECREASES absorbency of the diaper because now you don’t have a lot of material covering where you urinate.

Many of you may already know all this but these are just prime examples of things you should at least think about before choosing to buy adult diapers. Adult diaper companies can use various tactics to lure you into buying a product even if it is inferior by disguising it with either just the look of the diaper (to make it look absorbent when it really isn’t) or to make it seem cheaper when its really not (either by not taking into account shipping or the diaper is so inferior to other diapers that you are not getting your money’s worth). I am a penny pincher in all honesty – so these are things I think about when I choose to buy my adult diapers…which for the record is typically Bambino Diapers, Secure Personal Care (which are now offered on Bambino’s website), and XP Medical. These are the most trusted sources in my mind over the years…not to say others aren’t – but these are my go to stores for anything I really need.

The Secure X-Plus diaper itself is a plastic diaper that has one of the softest plastics of all the top level diapers. If you like to crinkle then you will definitely like this diaper. It has a very soft plastic outer covering. Also the inner-lining of the diaper is very soft as well. I find it important and noteworthy to mention the softness of the inner lining. I am big on preventing skin rashes and irritation and the Secure X-Plus has not once ever given me a skin rash from rubbing – so that is a big plus in my book.

The absorbency of the Secure X-Plus definitely puts it in the top 5 most absorbent diapers category. I am a girl and I don’t have the “luxury” of being a guy and using the maximum space of the diaper (i.e. the front) for absorbency but I was able to soak the diaper completely 3 times and could have gone probably even more but I just had to change. No Leaks. This was impressive I thought. I thought it absorbed quickly to. Being a girl, urine only really accumulates at the seat of the diaper and the back. A man is able to take advantage of even more of the absorbency because they can use the front of the diaper for even more absorbency. So, I would say if you are looking for a extremely soft and absorbent diaper then this is a perfect match.

In regards to the fit and comfort of the diaper, it is amazing. Everyone has different body shapes and some products will work better for others. The Secure X-Plus just happens to fit me perfectly and snug. It also has waistbands to hold the diaper close to your body which is also nice for multiple reasons. It helps with the comfort and fit but if you like that “babyish” feel then a waistband definitely adds to it. The elastic leg gathers are a huge positive for these diapers too because not many diapers now a days come with them. They are soft as well and comfortable against the skin while also providing a nice snug fit.

The tapes are another huge positive in my opinion. The diaper is designed with frontal landing zone that allows you to remove a tab/tape and then stick it back on if you would like WITHOUT tearing the diaper. I was able to undo the diaper tab and place it back on the frontal landing zone over 5 times and it was still holding strong. So, this is a big plus for those who are casual diaper wearers and don’t want to necessarily waste a diaper if you have to take it off. You can untape the diaper and then retape it back on later without wasting it. It allows for easy adjustments which I always like.

Overall, the Secure X-Plus diaper is one of my Top 3 Favorite Diapers that I use. I always make sure to have a supply of them along with my other brands. If you were to look in my closet you would find equal numbers of Secure X-Plus and Bambino Diapers as those are my top diapers that I currently use…you would also find some lesser diapers such as Attends. But, I am a big supporter of the more absorbent diapers last longer and withstand more so that is why I always have a stockpile of Secure X-Plus diapers and Bambino Diapers. If you haven’t tried them – they are definitely worth giving a shot.

Secure X-Plus Diapers: Buy Secure X-Plus Diapers
