A poopy diaper is exactly that – a messy, stinky, bacteria-filled, and so on diaper. I have lately read so many posts about how people enjoy sitting in their poopy diaper for hours on end because they love the feel. I will be the first to admit that its a nice feeling for a second and then knowing your going to get changed…BUT, that is about where it stops. I do not like sitting in a messy diaper for very long and usually want Peter to change me fairly quickly. It for one gets uncomfortable after awhile and it stinks. Now, I am sure there are some people out there that love to “bask” in the smell of a messy diaper but I am not one of them.

It has given me massive diaper rash in the past and I am not a big fan of that. Plus, I know in public I am DEFINITELY not one to like walking around in a smelly diaper. It is just not me. It is not that I am really humiliated or anything – its just not appropriate and rude to others I think for them to have to smell me/you. Common courtesy I guess. Plus, the health factor – feces has a lot of bacteria in it that can spread obviously to other areas if it “comes out” or you contact it somehow.

If you are going to do “messy play” then please use a LOT of vaseline and baby powder because it is going to cause some massive diaper rash after you wait awhile. I just think the health aspects do it for me. I am a health nut so sitting around in a messy diaper is just NOT ME. Just because we engage in this sort of thing does not mean we have to be immature, stupid, or unsafe about it. Treat your body right so that you don’t get yourself sick or at the least get a really uncomfortable diaper rash.

Sorry, I know random post – but I have just been reading so many posts lately on people saying how they love to sit around for hours in poopy diaper and I just can’t fathom doing that on multiple levels unless I absolutely had to. There is the obsessive cleanliness aspect to me, uncomfortable, smelly, and then the health factor that all I guess made me just want to rant about this. Maybe I can persuade some of you to maybe reduce hanging around in a messy diaper from a couple hours to maybe 30 minutes…that would be a health victory.

I am a big supporter of fiber and how important it is in the diet. Fiber has more benefits than a lot of people know about. One of the biggest positives of fiber is that it is very important in helping to prevent colon cancer as well as some studies show that it can help prevent other types of cancer including uterine cancer, ovarian cancer, and even breast cancer. Other benefits include helping to control weight, relieving constipation, and lowers blood cholesterol levels. I am all about trying to prevent cancer as cancer terrifies me so anything I can do to help prevent it, I do it!

Every morning I always have a bowl of oatmeal – oatmeal is super rich in fiber and is a nice way to wake up my stomach, intestines, and bowels and get them going. Graphic, I know. Being incontinent does not mean you should not keep your intestines and bowels running good. Its still extremely important. I usually by the High Fiber Quaker Oatmeal – it has about 40% of the recommended fiber intake (10 grams). Through out the day I also try to eat a lot of vegetables and fruit even though I don’t always succeed. But, I probably consume at least 25-35 grams of fiber each day…some days more and some days less. Forces me to change my diaper a bit more since it makes me even more “regular” you could say – but, its worth it to me to be healthy.

I encourage everyone here if you are not getting enough fiber that you should. It will just make you feel better, trust me. Try eating more whole grains. Simple things like substitute your white bread for 100% whole wheat bread and throw some nuts into your daily intake…preferably almonds! Almonds are one of the best foods for you – good for protein, fiber, and healthy fats. Healthy fats are super important too but that is another post for another day.

Plus, if you eat healthier and more whole grains, etc etc; your poop will be “firmer” (we are all adults here, graphic but only way to describe) and will come out easier and actually will not smell as potently. One of my tricks Anyways, the point is that ever since I have been making sure to get fiber I typically poop at least once or twice a day which for me is healthy because I know my body. Some people may go more or less – there is not set number for everyone. Just be sure you have a good diaper to contain it all if you have been constipated or what not and you start taking fiber – because more than likely at first you will go a lot – like I did I know this post was all over the place but hopefully you gleamed the important facts from it

I know I mentioned a while back that I have been trying to eat healthier and it has been going pretty good for the most part. During the week is easy to eat healthy because we mainly eat at home and force ourselves to make something healthier for us rather than go out to eat. The weekends is when it starts to become hard because we have worked all week, don’t feel like making anything and just want to go out to eat. Plus, we enjoy seeing movies and what not which is like automatic candy craving for me. So, I would say that besides the weekends – we have both been doing pretty well in regards to eating healthier.

We have both been exercising a lot more too where it is to the point that if we miss an exercise day then we feel guilty for not doing anything. But, I am finally starting to see some weight being lost which is positive. He drops weight like it is nothing but I lose weight really slow. I have heard most women lose weight at a slower rate than men though which is frustrating.

Anyways, it is funny because we have a scale in our bathroom and a lot of times after I have wet my diaper I will stand on the scale in just a diaper and weigh myself with the diaper on. Then, I would take the diaper off just to see how much weight I essentially lost in water/urine weight. I know that is strange but its entertaining because it is like an immediate weight drop. Try it sometime. I think the most amount I have lost after I wet my diaper was like 2 pounds basically. That is a lot of urine. I am sure if you are drunk and had a lot to drink then you could probably even beat that.

Eating healthy has never been my forte even though I have always wanted to be a healthy eater. I am by no means fat but I wouldn’t say I am the healthiest person in what I eat. I can tell when I don’t eat healthy because it affects a lot of things including the frequency of messy diapers (increased frequency is a good thing because you want to be regular) as well as my energy level for exercise. So, I have taken on the challenge to try and eat healthier and cut back on a lot of the things that I tend to indulge in such as Butterfingers (yum!). I am also trying to drink more water and up my protein intake because consuming more protein will help me feel fuller longer instead of engulfing loads of carbohydrates and fats.

Incontinence works the same way as people without incontinence in the sense that more fiber and what not makes you poop more often – we just don’t have control. So, I am trying to become more regular in that sense because it is healthier. Peter will end up changing more messy diapers but I don’t think he minds especially if it is for a good reason. Regularity is defined by the individual and is not a “set in stone” type of thing. Some people poop 3-4 times a day and some may only go once. As long as you are “regularly” going then you are OK but if you find yourself not pooping whether it is in a diaper or not for a couple days or more than you may want to reconsider your diet and exercise habits. Exercising in fact does help regularity.

I know many of you probably think I am skinny and in shape looking but I will disagree a little bit. I am skinny but I am not tone which is what I am trying to do. I need to cut back on the fat, exercise more, and increase my protein so that I can put on more muscle and get rid of the excess flab I do have on my body. I don’t necessarily want to lose a lot of weight – I just want to tone my body. Gotta get my diaper butt in shape! My butt especially needs toning because I don’t have a huge butt but I wish it was a bit bigger. So, if I tone it up a little bit then it will look a little bigger…at least that is my plan. I will keep you all up to date with my status of my exercising and dieting.
