I have heard from multiple sources now and random grumblings that Abena is looking to switch their Abena X-Plus to cloth diapers…multiple people have emailed me telling me this and I have heard it myself from a few other sources. Not sure the validity of it but this would be a big hit to the premium adult diaper selection for adult babies and diaper lovers. Even though I am a Bambino girl – I do love Abena X-Plus diapers as well and I do always keep a small supply on hand for random times.

This would be very disappointing for sure if it is true. If they were to switch to cloth I would definitely not stick with them…I have never really liked any cloth like diapers…just not my thing. But, I do recognize the Abena is not making these adult diapers for the ABDL community but rather they are making them for the incontinence community and I guarantee you the majority of the incontinence community would rather a cloth like diaper than plastic backed. I am not one of those people but the majority are hence why a lot of the big manufacturers are moving to cloth like type diapers – Tena, Attends, and possibly Abena now?

Again, not sure how valid it is but just wanted to throw that out there to people in the community to see what people’s thoughts were on this or if they had heard anything?

I know, I know – another apologizing post. My life is extremely hectic right now – we are in the midst of moving into a house from our current apartment so things are all over the place. We just now got internet back – been without it for the last week during the transfer. But, I just wanted to make a quick post to let everyone know I am still alive and well

Just going through a pivotal moment in our lives right now with a big move and a few job related things too so once we get the new house setup and everything calms down – I will be able to hook up my external hard drive which I took a bunch of new diaper pictures with and I will be sure to slowly post them since I know I haven’t posted any photos in a while. Believe it or not – it is hard to find interesting things to post about after I have been posting for basically 3+ years.

Maybe I need a “suggestion” form that people fill out for topics that I just post on sometimes. That way – whatever the topic you all submit – I will post on the topic. I would of course appreciate the topics being someone thoughtful and not “how to change messy diaper” – something with a bit more thought or uniqueness or legitimate questions would be much appreciated. But, I will hopefully get that setup here in the next few days as that would make my life a lot easier than trying to come up with topics all the time and not repeat. I know I bore some people out there but you have to understand that I am just like most of you in the sense that I am not really that unique and my life is pretty monotonous at times as with most people.

So, I figured I would make a post about wet diapers and clumping that happens in some poorly made diapers. In many store brand and poorly made diapers you get something called clumping where the urine causes the material to clump and you lose that nice soft protective cushion in the diaper and it turns into this rougher clumpy mess in the diaper. I have posted a picture of an Attends Diaper below that I wore a while ago after I had wet it…you can see the clumping in the bottom of the diaper.

I hate clumping which is precisely why the majority of the time I prefer to wear premium adult diapers instead of cheaper made diapers. You probably have noticed clumping before if you wear a lot of store-brand adult diapers. Clumping does eventually happen in premium adult diapers as well but it takes a significantly longer period of time and usually by that time you have probably wet the diaper about 3 times before you even notice any sort of clumping at all.

I just always hated the feeling of the clumps and it also significantly reduced the absorbency as well. Plus, maybe it is just me but when you can actually see the clumping from the front and bottom of the diaper from the outside it looks unattractive to me and sort of ruins that “look” of a nice clean white thick adult diaper. Maybe its just me though. Anyways, just me rambling.

I just wanted to wish everyone a merry Christmas even though it is a little late and an early Happy New Years. If you are Jewish then…Happy Hanukkah time. I hope everyone got what they wanted presents wise. What did everyone get? Anything exciting? I got a lot of clothes because that is what I like but I did get a new Ipod Shuffle and running headphones for my new found love of trying to workout more. Nothing too exciting? If you got any interesting or really awesome gift I would love to know.

Also, if there are any girls out there or maybe anyone with any experience with using headbands too hold your hair up and keeping it from falling in your face when you run please suggest some. I typically used ones from Target or Walmart but those aren’t cutting it. I have heard good things about Nike’s brands but wasn’t sure. So, if you have any experience with that – would love to hear your suggestions.

Just ordered my new cases of Teddy Bambinos as I ran out out of them so with some of my Christmas money I got I figured I could use some of it on couple cases of Bambino Diapers. Anyone else using some of their Christmas cash on diapers? I typically do it every year. Funny story, we were traveling this holiday season and it was a LONG LONG drive. I was wearing one of those Unique Wellness diapers in the car and for anyone who hasn’t tried them, I figured they would be OK for the drive but oh how wrong I was. I leaked all over my seat and jeans. I wasn’t about to change into another one of those so we had to actually stop and we bought some of the Depends from CVS which actually didn’t leak on the first wetting while sitting down like the Unique Wellness did on me. The Depends obviously didn’t hold much at all but they didn’t leak on me so that was good. But, I hadn’t worn a Depends diaper in a long time and it felt so weird because of how paper thin it was. Those things are meant for maybe 1-2 wettings lol. I guess I have been spoiled with the Abenas, Bambinos and Molicares of the world.

An awesome adult diaper that I am guessing has a teddy bear type design and a new booster that also looks great! Here are the press releases:

http://www.prweb.com/releases/teddy-bambino-diaper/adult-baby-diapers/prweb4235894.htm

http://www.prweb.com/releases/bambino-diapers/totaldry-booster-pads/prweb4242154.htm

It looks like all they are waiting for is to get the products up on the site – so keep checking the Bambino Diapers site as I am sure they will pop up here soon!

I am super excited! I am going to be the first to order a case, I know I am weird – I am going to be checking their site like every hour from now on.

As you can sort of tell from the picture I had one of Peter’s medium Bambino Diapers on (look at the tapes) because I had run out of the smalls at the time. Mediums aren’t that bad of a fit on me, honestly. Just the smaller Bambinos fit me tighter and don’t come up as high in the front just because I naturally have a smaller waist and proportions.

Well I am off to do some pilates – just started taking classes. So, I hope everyone is having a great week and thanks to everyone who reads and participates on my blog. You make my blog what it is! Lots of appreciation…believe me!

There has been a lot of “Hooplah” over these so called bridal diapers and honestly I am not sure why. I guess to many the idea of a “normal” bride/woman wearing a diaper in a wedding dress is a nice thought. I won’t say it hasn’t been done before but by no means do I think it is commonplace or even considered. I would say probably less than .2% of all brides wear a diaper. Sure, you may here anecdotes about so and so doing it but I assure you these are extremely isolated. Here is my reasoning:

As a woman, on your wedding day you want to feel sexy, beautiful, elegant, and clean. The last thing a woman wants to do is put on a diaper which is normally associated with probably not being sexy or beautiful or elegant and probably not clean to the average person. I think even if a bride was concerned about going to the bathroom that they would rather not put on a diaper and risk something like that.

Personally, I will be wearing a diaper on my wedding day but my wedding dress allows for a sense of discreetness. I will also be wearing a very thin and probably cloth diaper because at least on my wedding day I do not want to crinkle or for it to be that obvious that I wear diapers. Any other day I could care less, but on my wedding day I would rather people that I may not know super well or know me be more focused on “is that a diaper?” then just on me and how I look. I am very traditional and I want to feel pretty and beautiful and not like everyone is gawking at me that doesn’t know me.

I think bridal diapers are probably used only for special circumstances and I mean really special circumstances. Unless the bride is incontinent or quirky then I doubt she will risk something like that on her wedding day just for the simple fact that she wants everything to be perfect and wants to feel beautiful, sexy, elegant, etc. Which, a diaper is not the first thing the average person associates with those things. Just my thoughts!

I have received a ton of questions in regards to what I do about changing my diaper in public areas – such as malls, parks, etc. This post will hopefully clarify how I handle those situations and how not that noticeable it really is. There really isn’t that much difference. So, how I am going to approach this is name off some general public areas and tell you how I handle those for changing my diaper or having my diaper changed for that matter. I would also like to state to please be respectful of others around you – regardless of how normal myself or you may consider it – people can be offended and it is honestly not appropriate as an adult to just do it so everybody can see.

Mall: The mall is a place I visit often – I am a shopaholic. I have probably mastered changing at the mall. If I am by myself then I just go into a stall in one of the women’s public restrooms and change my diaper there. I just lean myself up against the stall wall for support as I pull the adult diaper up between my legs to change. Nothing fancy but I have probably mastered it so I can take off my wet diaper and change into a fresh one in probably under 3 minutes which to me is pretty good. If my diaper happens to be messy – well that is a more time consuming process where I have to break out my disposable wipes I carry with me in my purse. There really is no easy way to do it – I just sort of prop myself up against the wall or maneuver myself on the toilet and clean myself…graphic I know. Some nice malls have stalls where they are completely enclosed, meaning you can technically lay on the floor and nobody would know…if that is the case, bring a changing pad to lay on and then you can lay on the changing pad on the floor and change yourself. A lot easier if this is an option but it rarely is the case.

Park: I am a big outdoor type person so I love going to parks. Sometimes I actually sunbathe like I am on a beach in just a diaper and bikini top but that is usually only if I can find a semi-private area. The lure of sunbathing in a park in just a diaper is not as “appropriate” in my mind as it can be in a beach setting. But, anyways when I need to change in a place like a park it really depends on the park I am at. Some parks are really private and I will actually either change my diaper right there on my picnic blanket or towel or if Peter is there then he will do it for me. If its not that private then typically I try to find the park restrooms and just change my diaper there. I have to make sure I always bring my supplies because I always like to be prepared for the worst you could say…which believe me, it happens.

On The Road: I do like to travel when I get a chance which entails having my diaper changed in the car a lot of times on the side of the road. Usually, if I am just wet then we try to make it to store or something like that but I will say that when I poop my diaper then neither I or Peter can really bare it too long so Peter ends up changing me on the side of the road in the car. I don’t mind it too much, just make sure you have a blanket/towel/changing pad if you don’t want to get your seats messy.

Rest Stop: Rest stops can be a great place to change an adult diaper especially if you have someone that will change it for you. Many rest stops have family restrooms in which you can go into and have someone help you change your diaper. Peter and I usually go in there together and change our diapers if they have a family restroom with private sections in them. This is probably the easiest way. Some rest stops have private areas that you can go off to where nobody is around, look for these, and you can change your diaper there if you do not want to deal with a large crowd in the restrooms for some reason. Some rest stops can get busy so sometimes we opt to find a private area around the rest stop and change our diapers.

Beach: Changing an adult’s diaper on the beach is very similar to the park. Its just one of those things where it depends on how much privacy you have on whatever beach your at. Some beach areas have like nobody on it that we have been to in which case I just change my diaper right there on my beach towel. But, most beaches have at least some people on it – in which case I will be respectful and take a diaper out of my beach bag and walk up to a restroom or where ever I am staying and change my diaper there.

Changing an adult diaper in a public place is all about a moderation between your own comfort and respect. You have to respect the others around you and realize that even if you are comfortable with it, they most likely aren’t. So, please keep that in mind when you consider changing your diaper in public places. Changing a diaper is a must especially if you poop your diaper because serious rashes and discomfort can come from it so changing in a public place is inevitable. But, just keep in mind my experiences and be courteous to others and you will be fine with being comfortable wearing diapers out in public places without fear of having to change your diaper there. I recognize men can’t always just carry around a bag with a diaper in it like women have purses – all I can say to that is to either carry a backpack in certain situations or keep your diapers in your car – preferably in a trunk where it is typically cooler.

I am a big supporter of fiber and how important it is in the diet. Fiber has more benefits than a lot of people know about. One of the biggest positives of fiber is that it is very important in helping to prevent colon cancer as well as some studies show that it can help prevent other types of cancer including uterine cancer, ovarian cancer, and even breast cancer. Other benefits include helping to control weight, relieving constipation, and lowers blood cholesterol levels. I am all about trying to prevent cancer as cancer terrifies me so anything I can do to help prevent it, I do it!

Every morning I always have a bowl of oatmeal – oatmeal is super rich in fiber and is a nice way to wake up my stomach, intestines, and bowels and get them going. Graphic, I know. Being incontinent does not mean you should not keep your intestines and bowels running good. Its still extremely important. I usually by the High Fiber Quaker Oatmeal – it has about 40% of the recommended fiber intake (10 grams). Through out the day I also try to eat a lot of vegetables and fruit even though I don’t always succeed. But, I probably consume at least 25-35 grams of fiber each day…some days more and some days less. Forces me to change my diaper a bit more since it makes me even more “regular” you could say – but, its worth it to me to be healthy.

I encourage everyone here if you are not getting enough fiber that you should. It will just make you feel better, trust me. Try eating more whole grains. Simple things like substitute your white bread for 100% whole wheat bread and throw some nuts into your daily intake…preferably almonds! Almonds are one of the best foods for you – good for protein, fiber, and healthy fats. Healthy fats are super important too but that is another post for another day.

Plus, if you eat healthier and more whole grains, etc etc; your poop will be “firmer” (we are all adults here, graphic but only way to describe) and will come out easier and actually will not smell as potently. One of my tricks Anyways, the point is that ever since I have been making sure to get fiber I typically poop at least once or twice a day which for me is healthy because I know my body. Some people may go more or less – there is not set number for everyone. Just be sure you have a good diaper to contain it all if you have been constipated or what not and you start taking fiber – because more than likely at first you will go a lot – like I did I know this post was all over the place but hopefully you gleamed the important facts from it

I know everyone is always looking for ways to save money when it comes to their adult diaper “stash”. If you knew me, you would know I am actually a pretty frugal person and am always looking for ways to stretch my dollar so I am here to show you a few of the ways I save my money when it comes to my adult diapers. Check them out below:

Order Online: One of the best ways to save on adult diapers and products is to order your products online. Online you cut out at least one middle man which ends up cutting costs when it comes to buying diapers.

Order Adult Diapers in Bulk: Bulk ordering is the way to go. You may think your getting a great deal by ordering in packs in store but when you calculate the price per diaper – you are getting ripped off when it compares to ordering in bulk. Trust me, order by the case! You save a lot more money by ordering in bulk!

Go With Premium Adult Diapers: I learned the hard way with this. I used to be the girl buying the cheap ol’ Depends or Attends because they were cheap but I would end up changing my diaper close to 6 times a day sometimes which is outrageous and you end up going through a pack super fast. Order premium adult diapers with the best absorbency you can get because they will last you longer and make you more money. (Recommendations: Secure X-Plus, Bambino Diapers, Abena X-Plus, Molicare)

Use Boosters: Looking for a good cheap way to extend your diapers even longer? Buy some boosters to stuff in your diapers and it will make them last even longer! You don’t need the super pricey ones if you don’t want. Any boosters will work because they will add a lot of absorbency.

Don’t Pay Shipping: Don’t pay for shipping! Shipping costs can be super expensive and add a ton of money to the total cost of the diapers.

Watch Your Changing: Watch how often you change. Especially, if you buy premium adult diapers – you will be surprised how much those adult diapers would hold so watch changing after just one wetting. Be frugal with your changes

Other than those tips – just be frugal and wear when the best times are for you if you are a pleasure wearer. These tips may seem obvious for being frugal with adult diapers but trust me a lot of people don’t think about them when ordering their diapers…I know I don’t always. But, TRUST ME, they can save you tons of money. If you have any questions – feel free to ask – I will definitely help!
