Trouble Going

I have been having a problem pooping in my diaper lately and i just can’t seem to figure out why. i have looked at my diet and though i know I don’t always eat properly but it has been nothing that has changed over the past week or so! I have no problem wetting my diaper but pooping has just been hard for me lately. Peter has begun to get worried because he thinks that it is going to become unhealthy for me. I am scared of a lot of laxatives because when I take them to me everything just goes crazy and I end up feeling worse than better. Do any of you know any good easy laxatives to take? I was thinking a stool softener maybe….not sure.

Hope this isn’t too graphic or anything for you readers, and hopefully i didn’t use to many exclimation marks for you :)

Senokot laxatives are the best, they go easy on you – They work within 8-12 hours and are very gentle – They always make me feel better! :)

Make sure that you are staying hydrated. As the weather warms up, and we are more active, you need more water to make up for what you are loosing. The purpose of the colon is to absorb the last of the moisture and nutrients out of your stool as it passes through. If you are properly hydrated your colon will leave a little water in your stool, and it will pass easier. For those of us that are incontinent that means a few more wet diapers, but in the long run you will be healthier for it. I had the same problem a couple of weeks ago.

    Hi

I would not worry too much about it at the moment. I was wondering whether you think about needing to poop and make an effort or do you just find it happens relatively effortlessly

iowaincon is right: hydration can help prevent that. I’ve never used a laxative, though, so I can’t speak to that.

I don’t think I’d ever use an enema for any reason unless directed to do so by a physician. I think enemas are reserved for people who’s constipation has gone on so long that their bowels have backed up, or in severe cases where impaction prevents normal movements. However, it is an option that will yield results very quickly.

Why not try an old fashioned remedy – fibre! If you eat a bowl of bran flakes for breakfast and drink some tea in the afternoon, that should help to loosen things up a bit. And don’t forget to stay hydrated.

Defintely DON’T use laxatives – they’re addicting. And enemas are way too messy and disgusting. There’s something called “Green Magma” which works very well and is GOOD for you. It’s expensive – $45 a container – but it’ll last a month, or more, and it’ll make you regular without the cramps and all that. It’s a miracle for those with IBS, as well, and especially.

we use a tea called ballarina dietetic tea. it is natural,so its not as strong as a laxitive but works great. you can find it in health food stores

I would recommend Flax seed powder, or seed, very healthy for you and a natural laxative. Available in any health food store like GNC etc, sprinkle some on your salad or cereal.
