Comments on: Secure X-Plus Diaper Review

What is the most absorbent diaper obtainable? I’ve tried the Abena Abri Form Super X, the Molicare Extra Plus, and the Bambino Classico. I have yet to obtain samples of the Kendall Maxi Care KND 10 or the Kendall Lili — does anyone know where a sample packet may be obtained — and then I’ll do a comparison of the various ones. Meanwhile, the Abri Form and Molicare have my votes for the most absorbent and being able to wear them for extended time periods. Okay, the Bambino is right in there too. Stay wet and be happy.

These are my favs too (or top 3). Love how much they hold, plus the fit me so much better than Abenas for some reason….they fit me perfectly. Like how you can re-adjust the tapes too.

Thanks! I was looking for a better diaper. I have been using attends as my daily wear but it has been leaking a lot due to my heavy wettings.

Just wondering but whatever happened to your friend Kay? I would have loved to meet another diapered girl out there. It’s very rare to find “chill” diaper girls who are willing to talk to the opposite sex and not play the “victim” just for more attention.

nice review, though… but I must say that men don’t have any advantages by being able to wet the front of the diaper more…

I am incontinent and I tried dozends of products. Nearly all of the have the problem, that the front is wet and the back is NOT. Then, it begins to leak in the front or under the front.

So, to be honest, I don’t see any male advantage here!

I think it’s pretty obvious why they would want to keep the two companies separate – ABs are a big revenue source that they want to tap, but being associated with them would drive off most of their medical users, who are obviously a larger market.

Adrian, I have to wonder. Since you’ve featured both Bambinos and Secures heavily on the blog, do you get any viral marketing pay from them? Not accusing you of being a shill or anything – your reviews are accurate, and that would be an awesome job if you could land it!

I started using Secure X-Plus a few years ago and I remember their diapers being thicker when they had the split tape zone (which I liked, I’m a bigger guy and that made it easier to get the tapes on the zone). I thought they were the same company and they might be, they just make two diff diapers for two diff clientele. Who knows but excellent review Adrian!

based on what i know about the Secure Plus diapers that I wear, Adrian is right that they are audible when wearing looser clothing

I think they would be able to hear it especially if you were wearing shorts or sweatpants. Clothes that constrict the diaper will produce less sound so in that case you would want looser fitting clothing. Hope that helps

thank you for the clarification! Crinklieness is very important to me in selecting a diaper. I liked the bambino’s absorbancy, but I didn’t like how think (and therefore uncrinkly) the outer plastic was. In your opinion, is the Secure X-Plus more crinkly? If I were wearing in in public (like a quite library) would bystanders be able to hear it crinkle as I walk past (I LOVE it when that happens). Thanks!
