I have been a Diaper Lover since i was about 6 yo. I wouldent consider myself an adult baby by any means but I love the lifestyle i have chosen for myself. I have been crusing over this blog for about 5 days now and i must say that it is the most informitive AB/DL site i have come accross to date. Im very new to the AB/DL comunity and dont know very much about it haveing spent my entire life trying to hide it from every one. Iv only very recently told my girlfriend of over a year of my love for weraing diapers, and she has been very supporitive and has even assisted in buying them for me. I have to say thank you so so so much to the creator of this site, you have given me the the ability to go out and be comfortable whit who i am and what i chose to wear. thank you so much

I use diapers 24/7. I am not incontinent but I have a chronic back condition that has deteriorated very much and i lie down most of the time. I have a recumbent lying orthosis that is custom made en envelopes the back of my legs, body and head to give me good support. Getting up would give me excrutiationg pain and diapers were the only solution. It was a big mental step to take (certainly because i can't change the diaper myself lying down - a nurse comes in the morning for an hour, at noon a voluntary carer visits - most of the time alternately my mother-in-law or sister-in-law :( and after 5 pm my wife has returned from work) It was difficult to relax and counter the natural reflex not to void. I also hated to poop in it and tried to avoid it. Result: urinary tract infection and constipation. My carers from then on had to fill in a diaper changing chart that is followed up by the morning nurse. They still do and i find it rather humiliating (certainly if it's the in-laws or my wife), but the doctor finds it a useful routine. They have to mention time of diaper change, if they observed urine voiding and/or a fecal deposit and a rough appreciation of the amount. I have been using diapers for a year now and i have learned to use them as a tool. Urine voiding has become less of a problem after the first months and i try to void regularly to avoid large wettings. I use a heavy diaper with urine indicator that can absord several voidings. I did have to turn the mental key regarding pooping but i still hate the feeling of a messy diaper and a try if possible to do my fecal deposits about 10 minutes before carers arrival or at evening, but it isn't always possible. I still don't like diaper changings by carers but it has now become only an unpleasant routine. (after a year i have had about 1752 changes so i guess i am getting used to it)

I'm glad diapers turned out to be a wonderful solution to your problem. I started wearing them cause I used to have to pee really bad at night. Every single night I would walk to the bathroom and go back to bed not being able to go back to sleep. I bought a pack of depends (Yes I know, they're not the BEST, but they do the job.) and wore a pair to bed one night. When the time came to go and pee I used the diaper and went back to sleep. Now I get a full sleep every night. I also sometimes wear then during the day just for convenience and comfort, it's like pillows for underwear.

Hello KAY...( if you are still here )

I read your story ( from Jan.10th,2009 ), and it´s exactly the story of my ex-wife.

She was a livelong bedwetter, and had a very small and weak bladder.

For over 25 years she was in the habit of running to the toilett every 30 minutes, but she wets her pants minimum 5 times a week.

For the nite she was in diapers and plastic pants, okay.

In the daytime she wore only plastic pants over thick panties and liners, but she had still a lot of visible accidents.

I met her in 1970, but we were only friends with dif. partners.

But in 1978 we fell in LOVE...

She knew I was a bedwetter too, and so things were easier for us.

After 2 month I put her in diapers for 24/7, and after 3 month she was real incontinent, and much more balanced !

No more stress with continual looking for a loo, or the fear of detection in wet pants.

Her (our)life changed total, but it was a lot easier since that day !

AND...we had a lot of fun together in diapers, and we had a very pleased life.

I hope more incontinent people will go this way, its a lot easier than a life in invidiously diapers.

Many regrads from germany, and please excuse my poor english...SAM

I acquired a bladder infection while serving in Viet Nam, in1967. At the VA hospital, I wore disposables, which I found to be inadaquate for an extended period. A sweet nurse suggested incontinent pants and cotton diapers, which I have worn daily since then. Plus, itis much more economical!
