Hi Stacey

Thanks for that - Do you find diapers comfortable? I do not which is a great pity. I do not wear them all the time as I have no problems when I can get to the toilet easily but I always wear them (although often only a pull up) when I am out for any length of time.

I find that if I put them on tightly then they make my crotch sore and then they can be very lumpy to sit on especially when you have had them on all day and you have not wet significantly in them as the filling tends to go into lumps. (I guess you don't have that problem as yours get used to the full and changed). If I do go out for a very long time and I know I will definately likely to wet them I always wear cotton pants over them and plastic pants over the top, which means I can be confident I will not leak. Plastic pants certainly get hot but they do have the benefit of stopping the diaper sagging though. Do you wear plastic pants?

Best wishes

Each day and every time of day has its own joys when you have no bladder control. But after reading Stacy's blog, I consider myself so lucky I do have bowel control except when I am so sick I cannot get out of bed.
Nights and when home without outside visitors I wear pinned gauze diapers and vinyl panties.

Each night before bed I restock my brief case for the next day. For a normal day of driving to the office, walking a block to court and so on, I do not need a tape-on brief, just slip in pads. So I pack a couple of Attends Breathable Small briefs just in case, a spare pair of the knit cotton panties that hold my pads and a few disposable pads.

These start out as Pampers Cruisers Size 4, from which I remove the side flaps and elastic gathers, which only takes a few seconds and a pair os shears. The advantage is they are waterproof on the outside and really soft even dry on the inside. They hold more than adult pads and they cost less.

Once a week I send a carton to my office by UPS containing a couple of dozen Attends to make up what were used, plus enough of the modified Pampers I have my supply cabinet full. I also send in the carton more wipes, lotion, Desitin, plus zip-lock baggies for the used disposables. By shipping the carton I do not need to carry as much stuff.

Weekends I always put in most of a day on Saturday and then I do wear an Attends under my skirt. Sundays my husband and I have brunch with several other couples all into AB, so I wear my pinned gauze diapers. My husband/Daddy Don carries a man's diaper bag, but I also have an outrageous pink diaper bag I have carried all over Los Angeles on long weekends and days off. With Don's discreet bag all the supplies are hidden. With the pink one, powder, baby bottles and all that show so they are handy. The weird thing is never in all these years (and several different diaper bags) has any member of the public asked where my infant is, or why I am wearing snap-crotch short-alls while carrying a diaper bag. In Los Angeles and Hollywood apparently odd is the new normal, and AB do not attract much attention.

I'm not trying to be mean, but I think actually LOSING weight is your best option. Its healthy, good for appearances, and of course better on your body. I know it's not the easiest solution, but I believe its the best one. You would sure lose the plumbers crack!

WOW .. great blog I still have not convinced myself to go 24/7 but I really apreciate your tales on every day usage. Your experiances make day to day diaper living seem to be much more easier as I read them. However I still feel a lil perinoid on the hole 24/7 thing. being a lil over weight and the whole plumber crack situation keeps me at a stand still on wearing 24/7. I would love to hear from others on the larger side on how to beat crack .. lol. keep up the good work and I hope all my coments are understood in respect to you n yours.
