Iv been wearing diapers to work since last year. I didnt think it was possible because I wet so heavy. My employer here at the nursing home recommended that I try wearing a new diaper called "Dry 24/7" with a booster insert pad. My cloth diapers were heavy enough to keep leakage under control for several wettings, but not for a complete 8 or 9hr shift. Changing my diapers at lunch-time was the only way I could keep leakage from becomming a problem. When the new disposable diapers with the booster inserts were delivered I noticed how thick they were and after wearing them to work that first week I quickly ordered a full case along with the boosters. No more worry about "over-wetting" my diapers at work. I have not had even a single leakage problem. The diapers are thicker than any disposables on the market, and as they get wet they get even thicker. But if you dress around this you will find that its well worth it for comfortable worry-free protection!!

I wear diapers under my uniform to keep my incontinence under control. My employer here at the nursing home recommended I try wearing a disposable diaper called Dry 24/7. I wanted to share with your readers my experience with these diapers because they really are the best that Iv found anywhere! I work an 8hr shift here at the nursing home and my cloth diapers were just absorbent enough to last 5hrs before they would leak. I find that changing wet diapers away from the comfort of home difficult. I would prefer to wear a thicker diaper, and skip that one change at lunch and so Iv now began using these new Dry 24/7 diapers

Usually, one of my biggest problems is having to assume odd positions and hold them for however long it takes to run a weld bead. When people ask what I do, I occasionally tell them I am half yoga-master, half Gumby, and perform my job in positions too extreme to be seen in the Kama Sutra.

Being male, I don't particularly enjoy squishing some parts of my anatomy. Adding extra absorbancy helps keep me from springing a leak, but can get very uncomfortable pretty quick after I twist and turn and curl-up in a hot and smokey confined space that is difficult to get out of when wearing coveralls and a leather coat.

Anyone else work in more manual-labor type jobs and have experienced problems like this? I'm a shipyard welder- are there any more of us here?

I also happen to love my job, though I've been told by many others that I really need to find something else to do before I permanently wreck myself. Have any of you been told the same thing?

Thank you for this post, Adrian! One of the better "real-life" topics that helps us deal with our day to day issues.

I wear a variety of diapers, not locked into any one brand. I work in an occasionally very hot and sweaty environment (shipyard welder) and I've never found a brand that won't keep me from getting a rash.

The trick to keep from getting a rash is to keep yourself cool if possible. If not, then change the diaper more frequently and be sure to use wipes, a little lotion, and plenty of powder.

Frequent changes get expensive really quick, but sometimes that is the price we must pay if we sweat a lot at work and do not want to deal with the irritation of a diaper rash.

I've found that the expensive high-quality diapers are great if I'm not sweaty at work. If I'm in a hot tank or void thought, welding a lot, I'll use Depends diapers since they're much cheaper and I'm changing more often due to sweating.

I'll slice up the backing on the Depends men's guards and put one of them in my diaper if I'm concerned about how much I may wet. The combo of products actually holds quite a bit and allows me to exit the space I'm in and get to a restroom for a change.

I wore diapers to work three days in a row when I once worked at a bakery. It was third shift and the other two people I worked with never once noticed.

I know that no one can tell I'm wearing....but I just get so nervous and selfconcious thinking everyone can tell I'm wearing. Almost becomes too distracting to do anything.

Maybe one day I'll get over this fear. I do work in a private cube at work, so shouldn't really worry about it....but for some odd reason I do.

I've worn both Depends and cloth/plastic pants when working as an EMT, with no discoveries (that anyone gave any hint of). Beside being a comfort, drinking as much coffee etc. as we did, it was quite convenient not to have to find a bathroom on the road. An 'emergency' resupply was always available at an ER, too.

Hi Adrian
I have some questions about going to work diapered: do you change at work or wear diapers thick enough for the whole day? If you do have to change while at work, do you take wipes and powder to the bathroom with you? And how do you take them to the bathroom so that no-one can tell what you are up to?
Cheers, GandV
