My opinion of people who wear diapers and are not incontinent is not negative at all. Just because I am incontinent does not mean I don’t enjoy the same thing about wearing diapers as the rest of the community. While, I came to love diapers probably in a different way than most of you as I grew up wearing them while many other ABDLs stumbled upon them or somehow found a love for wearing diapers. While, I don’t regard my love for diapers as “fetish” because I do not focus on them or see them as a sexual object or in a sexual way. I see it as more of enjoyment, fun, comfort, security, and also a little bit of fashion! But, I recognize many people in the community do not see it like this solely and do see it in a more sexual way or in other ways. I am a very free and open person and I do not judge others. My opinion of people who wear diapers that don’t need them is that I am happy for you and glad you found something that makes you feel good, so long as you are not hurting anyone else. I am a big believer in not letting diapers or any other “fetish” or what not cause a major hindrance on your social life.

I have a strong connection to the ABDL community and I find us very different from other communities. This adult baby and diaper lover community is different kind of community because it doesn’t completely center around sexual connotations and ideas. Many people who wear diapers are just doing it for the comfort, security, sounds, etc. This is a far-cry from many other “fetish” or communities in my opinion because they focus more on the sexual side while the ABDL community does not focus on that as much. Which, in my opinion makes us special and an outlier among all the communities. I am honestly proud to be part of the ABDL community and to meet so many wonderful people. And because I am feeling good – I included a recent photo below!

My incontinence is not caused by a formal disease but rather it is caused by congenital birth defect. Internal structures in my body were not fully formed and that is what causes my incontinence. There are no true surgical options for my birth defects that can cure my incontinence. There are ‘experimental’ surgical options that are not covered by insurance and are not guaranteed to work that I have opted not to do at this stage in my life. For one thing, with insurance not covering them they are extremely expensive. I would rather manage my incontinence with diapers and sometimes medication. I have taken a few medications to try and just manage it but they are expensive and not that effective. They would never be able to cure it anyways just reduce it. Not much can honestly be done for structural defect incontinence that you are born with and never fully formed. I don’t know the whole medical terminology for what didn’t form but it is a combination between my bladder and the nerves within the bladder that send signals to the brain indicating that you have to urinate or defecate.

I accepted a long time ago that diapers were going to be a part of my life forever and I made the absolute best of it. Now, I love diapers and can’t imagine my life without them. They give me so much more then management for urinary and fecal incontinence; they give me comfort, security, and joy in general that I love. Sometimes life gives you things that may seem like a curse at the time but honestly if you learn to embrace it and make the best out of it then it will usually turn out to be a positive thing in your life rather than a negative. Life is too short to be filled with negative things, fill it with positives!

Supposively, birth defect incontinence is not as common as other forms of incontinence but it is fairly common in the overall statistics. That is what I was told at least. Honestly, if there was an operation that was discovered tomorrow that would fix my incontinence, I would not have it. This is who I am and I have learned to cope and make the best of it. It really doesn’t cause me that much trouble as many may think. I mean the hardest thing to watch out for really is poopy diapers in really public and close quarter areas and the only thing there is I just don’t want others to have to “suffer” the smell if I do happen to mess my diapers. But, even that can be managed with plastic pants which significantly reduces the smell.

P.S. Thanks to Calista for your question – hopefully this answered it!

While I do enjoy sharing my photos and I do understand some of the risks with that – I was hoping that people would appreciate the reason why I copyright and do not want my photos distributed everywhere. It seems as if someone has used some sort of software to copy my images from my blog and elsewhere. If I continue to find people ripping off my photos and posting them elsewhere then I will be forced to stop taking photos and posting them and sharing them.

I understand I am sure there are some who save them somehow to their computer and I am willing to accept that…but NOT distribute them. If I continually find my photos distributed on other sites then I will not take photos any longer and share them on here nor anywhere else. I like to keep my photos here and only here as much as possible.

I am sure there are going to be the negative people and say “well if its on the internet then its fair game” – don’t bother commenting if you are going to say that. I copyrighted them for a reason and have gone to a couple measures to indicate I would not like them distributed everywhere. Show a little bit of respect and courteousness for what other people provide, please. This is the type of thing that makes me hesitant on sharing more photographs on the internet is because people go to great extremes and feel they can do what they want in this community and elsewhere. If you are the one doing this – I would really appreciate it and warn you to stop.

One of the biggest obstacles people have is telling others they either enjoy wearing diapers or have to wear diapers. Both, in my opinion should be approached in the same way and in the same context. Many people ask me “what do I say” and “how I should say it”. The first thing I tell them is to be confident and don’t come across if you are doing something wrong because then that just is a bad start. So, be confident and don’t come across to the person as if you had just robbed a store or something.

Second, never just tell the person flat out that you enjoy and love wearing diapers. Don’t put it like that. Whether you you need diapers or enjoy them – the conversation should start out in the context of being for a medical issue. So, basically if you don’t need them then you will be telling a minor fib or slight exaggeration. This may come across as morally wrong to a few people and I understand that but it is also morally wrong for others to judge you. Anyways, just say something along the lines of “I have a minor medical issue that requires me to wear a diaper at certain points of the day for added protection and it provides a sense of security for me”…obviously this statement needs to be tailored and “flowered” up to the person you are talking to but that is a good base to use. Don’t come across like some obsessive and crazy person that just loves diapers with no reason other than it feels good because 9 out of 10 times the person will associate it immediately in negative light. You want to provide the justification and reasons up front so that they do not assume and make their own conclusions. You start out slow with the person and ease them into the explanation. Don’t say “I love diapers because they make me feel good” – that will probably not get you too far in many cases. Come off as nervous but confident and make sure that you tell the person that you trust them and think a lot of them to share something like this with them. It makes that person feel responsible and almost at first proud that someone can trust them…it puts the ball in their court rather than yours.

The main thing I tell people is to have your reasons and justifications laid out up front and to make sure those reasons are not just that you like them. Start out with that it originated from a medical issue and then go from there. Use words like “security”, “comfort”, “de-stress”, and “calms me down” because these words are neutral and non-aggressive words that will make what you are telling them easier and put it in a more positive light. A lot of what you say and how you say it has to be tailored and catered to that person though based on what type of person they are.

Note: If you are truly interested in coming out or telling someone then I will and am open to help walk you through it. I have a lot of experience with it. But, don’t contact me for help if you are not going to do it and aren’t serious about it. I am more than willing to take the time to help you but just make sure you are serious about it.

Many people have asked me about a dry weight and wet weight comparison of Bambino Diapers with another premium diaper like Abenas. Well, I didn’t do this experiment myself but somebody else did. I am just reposting it from their post. Keep in mind the experiment was done with water which is not completely accurate but still it ends up favoring Bambino and I will explain why Bambinos are even more favored if a proper solution was used that emulated urine more. So here is the post:

“I tested the absolute absorbency of the Abena X-Plus and the Bambino Bianco by first weighing them dry and then weighing them after soaking them in water for 10 minutes, then letting them hang to dry for 10 minutes. I also did the same thing for the Abri-Let Maxi and the Bambino Quadro. I used a kitchen scale that measures to the closest 5g; not that it really mattered in the end, there was one very clear winner…

Dry weights:

Abena X-Plus – 185g
Bambino – 165g

Abri-Let Maxi – 70g
Bambino Quadro – 45g

Wet weights:

Abena X-Plus – 4255g
Bambino Bianco – ~6600g !! It actually exceeded the kitchen scale’s range so I weighed it on my bathroom scale (14lbs.) and converted the result.

Abri-Let Maxi – 620g – this had a lot of press out/runoff when I hung it up because it is mostly pulp. It also compressed in thickness as well.
Bambino Quadro – 1880g !! This one swelled to almost quadruple the thickeness of the Abri-Let !! I will post a picture to my gallery of the comparison. It is impressive considering the dry comparison pictures. “

So, this person experimented with water testing the absorbancy between Bambino Diapers and Abena. They also tested the Bambino Quadro and Abri-let Maxi. So, water is not a accurate representation of real urine. If a saline solution (salt solution basically) which is more representative of urine was used then this would only make Bambino Diapers better. Bambinos have made it clear they use a lot of polymer in their diaper (source: http://www.bambinodiapers.com/news/) and polymer reacts and absorbs better when a saline solution is used. So, if the tests were done using a saline solution then the Bambino probably would have done even better than Abena using water. So, I guess the lesson we learned is that the dry weight thickness doesn’t always represent how absorbant it is. It is more about the materials and technology used in the diaper that makes it more absorbant. So, while the Abena may appear thicker DRY compared to the Bambino, the Bambino actually swells up larger and is MORE absorbant then Abena by a significant amount when actually WET.

Note: The test was performed by a user on Adisc.org

The Bambino Duo boosters are probably my favorite booster pad to use and I use them almost daily through out the work day. The main feature about the boosters that sets it apart besides the amazing baby scent that is added that I absolutely love is the incredible softness of these boosters. I have tried many other booster pads and nothing compares to the softness and comfort of the Bambino Duos. Immediately when you take it out of its clean package you can feel with your hands just how soft the actual material is. This is incredibly important when the booster is resting against the skin for any period of time as comfort as many diaper lovers and adult babies know is one of the most important factors to consider when choosing any sort of diaper product. So, the softness of the booster pad when it is resting against my bottom is incredible – you almost do not feel the booster there because it feels like part of the diaper material.

Second, the Bambino Duo is specifically designed to fit into Bambino Diapers. Though they will fit nicely into any diaper you use – they are designed to fit neatly into the Bambino Diaper. All you do is take off the adhesive tape and stick it where you want within the diaper. For me, being a girl, I place the booster pad in the middle of the seat of the diaper because that is where the main concentration of urine is collected. For men, possibly putting the booster pad closer to the front of the diaper since urine first hits that area would be an optimal place to put it. That is another thing, the softness allows you to place it against sensitive areas such as the genital region of men so that it doesn’t irritate it or anything.

Third, the absorbancy of the Bambino Duo is also a thing to marvel at. I have never once leaked in a Bambino Diaper and I have added a Bambino Duo to them and its just an additional measure you can take to prevent leakage. It absorbs a phenomenal amount of urine that in my estimate could probably last someone a whole day in a Bambino Diaper and booster pad, at least. I have added the Bambino Duo a number of times to lesser brand diapers such as Attends or Tranquility Slimline and they have helped tremendously improve the absorbancy of the diaper. The absorbancy of the Bambino Duo is probably one of the main features Bambino Diapers advertises about it because it was also specifically designed to hold a tremendous amount of fluid. Many people in the ABDL community love “flooding” there diaper to the max and this product in my opinion will allow you to do that even more and feel even more babyish because of how the booster pad actually swells when it becomes wet. Giving that nice bulky and babyish feel even more so to the diaper.

Finally, the pad is lightly scented with a baby scent to it. In my opinion, I think the scent is just enough. While, I recognize everyone has different thresholds for scent tolerance, I think the scent is perfect for me. It is not too strong and not too light. I personally stick them in my closet and/or drawers and close them up and they give my closet or drawer a nice babyish scent to it. So, I like it. It is no where near noticeable of a smell if you are out just walking around. But, if you are just wearing a diaper and the Bambino Duo and laying around your house and you sit down or are laying there then you would definitely get little hints of a babyish scent now and again.

Overall, the Bambino Duo is another amazing product I think put out by Bambino Diapers. It shows its committment to its audience which I think is one of the most important things Bambino Diapers does. It listens to its customers and wants to make them happy. I have always wanted a booster pad such as this because it extends the life of not only the Bambino Diaper but also some of my lesser diapers. I highly reccommend you at least try the Bambino Duo because even though it may give off the look of a typical booster pad I think the material, scent, and absorbancy of the booster completely makes this an amazing booster.

Since I am sitting at work right now I figured I would blog about what it’s like wearing a diaper at work while I am actually doing it. Well, I must say it’s very comforting when you first get into work and know that you have a nice fresh diaper on that will protect you the rest of the day. Plus, it provides a little bit of a cushion for those people like me that are sitting a significant portion of the day. Also, I will say I am the type of person that sort of likes to hear that crinkle sound of the diaper when you get up or walking down the hall. I find it is loud enough for me to hear but not loud enough for really others to take notice.

For those of you scared to wear to work – I would say it’s almost impossible to be caught unless you try. Now, I am sure this depends on your profession but tucking in your shirt and typical work pants or jeans are typically good enough at concealing the diaper and most of the noise while allowing you to get the satisfaction of wearing a diaper to work. If you have any questions about wearing a diaper to work then feel free to ask.

Wearing a diaper to work in my opinion almost increases productivity because it just makes you feel good and when you are comforted and feel good then I find I do my work quicker and more efficient. Not to mention the fact it saves you trips to the restroom especiall if it is not conveniently available to you (I.e right across the hall). Just my two cents though – thoughts?
