Beauty of Bambino Diapers

Friday, June 19th, 2009

So many of you may not know that I am an “amateur” (keyword there) photographer.  Trying to learn how to take nice photos and all that jazz!  Anyways, I was reading my photography book and I had just finished changing my diaper so I figured I would use the Bambino Diaper as a object for taking photos.  Nothing too exciting but I figured I would post a few photos of the diaper after I had taken it off.

I know they are not that great…but hey, I was bored and I am practicing.  Lighting could be better but it hasn’t been sunny here very much lately and my rooms don’t exactly get the greatest lighting.  Plus, I am still learning how to use this camera.  Oh well, I am sure skill will come with time…hopefully!

Also, new feature coming soon to this blog that will allow you to register a username.

Bambino Diaper Dry Weight vs Wet Weight

Friday, May 29th, 2009

Many people have asked me about a dry weight and wet weight comparison of Bambino Diapers with another premium diaper like Abenas.  Well, I didn’t do this experiment myself but somebody else did.  I am just reposting it from their post.  Keep in mind the experiment was done with water which is not completely accurate but still it ends up favoring Bambino and I will explain why Bambinos are even more favored if a proper solution was used that emulated urine more.  So here is the post:

“I tested the absolute absorbency of the Abena X-Plus and the Bambino Bianco by first weighing them dry and then weighing them after soaking them in water for 10 minutes, then letting them hang to dry for 10 minutes. I also did the same thing for the Abri-Let Maxi and the Bambino Quadro. I used a kitchen scale that measures to the closest 5g; not that it really mattered in the end, there was one very clear winner…

Dry weights:

Abena X-Plus – 185g
Bambino – 165g

Abri-Let Maxi – 70g
Bambino Quadro – 45g

Wet weights:

Abena X-Plus – 4255g
Bambino Bianco – ~6600g !! It actually exceeded the kitchen scale’s range so I weighed it on my bathroom scale (14lbs.) and converted the result.

Abri-Let Maxi – 620g – this had a lot of press out/runoff when I hung it up because it is mostly pulp. It also compressed in thickness as well.
Bambino Quadro – 1880g !! This one swelled to almost quadruple the thickeness of the Abri-Let !! I will post a picture to my gallery of the comparison. It is impressive considering the dry comparison pictures. “

So, this person experimented with water testing the absorbancy between Bambino Diapers and Abena.  They also tested the Bambino Quadro and Abri-let Maxi.  So, water is not a accurate representation of real urine.  If a saline solution (salt solution basically) which is more representative of urine was used then this would only make Bambino Diapers better.  Bambinos have made it clear they use a lot of polymer in their diaper (source: http://www.bambinodiapers.com/news/) and polymer reacts and absorbs better when a saline solution is used.  So, if the tests were done using a saline solution then the Bambino probably would have done even better than Abena using water. So, I guess the lesson we learned is that the dry weight thickness doesn’t always represent how absorbant it is.  It is more about the materials and technology used in the diaper that makes it more absorbant.  So, while the Abena may appear thicker DRY compared to the Bambino, the Bambino actually swells up larger and is MORE absorbant then Abena by a significant amount when actually WET.

Bambino Duo Booster Review

Thursday, May 21st, 2009

This is the official review from me for the Bambino Duo Booster pad put out by Bambino Diapers.  I will be doing an additional review on the “Quadros” at a later date.

The Bambino Duo boosters are probably my favorite booster pad to use and I use them almost daily through out the work day.  The main feature about the boosters that sets it apart besides the amazing baby scent that is added that I absolutely love is the incredible softness of these boosters.  I have tried many other booster pads and nothing compares to the softness and comfort of the Bambino Duos.  Immediately when you take it out of its clean package you can feel with your hands just how soft the actual material is.  This is incredibly important when the booster is resting against the skin for any period of time as comfort as many diaper lovers and adult babies know is one of the most important factors to consider when choosing any sort of diaper product.  So, the softness of the booster pad when it is resting against my bottom is incredible – you almost do not feel the booster there because it feels like part of the diaper material.

Second, the Bambino Duo is specifically designed to fit into Bambino Diapers.  Though they will fit nicely into any diaper you use – they are designed to fit neatly into the Bambino Diaper.  All you do is take off the adhesive tape and stick it where you want within the diaper.  For me, being a girl, I place the booster pad in the middle of the seat of the diaper because that is where the main concentration of urine is collected.  For men, possibly putting the booster pad closer to the front of the diaper since urine first hits that area would be an optimal place to put it.  That is another thing, the softness allows you to place it against sensitive areas such as the genital region of men so that it doesn’t irritate it or anything.

Third, the absorbancy of the Bambino Duo is also a thing to marvel at.  I have never once leaked in a Bambino Diaper and I have added a Bambino Duo to them and its just an additional measure you can take to prevent leakage.  It absorbs a phenomenal amount of urine that in my estimate could probably last someone a whole day in a Bambino Diaper and booster pad, at least.  I have added the Bambino Duo a number of times to lesser brand diapers such as Attends or Tranquility Slimline and they have helped tremendously improve the absorbancy of the diaper.  The absorbancy of the Bambino Duo is probably one of the main features Bambino Diapers advertises about it because it was also specifically designed to hold a tremendous amount of fluid.  Many people in the ABDL community love “flooding” there diaper to the max and this product in my opinion will allow you to do that even more and feel even more babyish because of how the booster pad actually swells when it becomes wet.  Giving that nice bulky and babyish feel even more so to the diaper.

Finally, the pad is lightly scented with a baby scent to it.  In my opinion, I think the scent is just enough.  While, I recognize everyone has different thresholds for scent tolerance, I think the scent is perfect for me.  It is not too strong and not too light.  I personally stick them in my closet and/or drawers and close them up and they give my closet or drawer a nice babyish scent to it.  So, I like it.  It is no where near noticeable of a smell if you are out just walking around.  But, if you are just wearing a diaper and the Bambino Duo and laying around your house and you sit down or are laying there then you would definitely get little hints of a babyish scent now and again.

Overall, the Bambino Duo is another amazing product I think put out by Bambino Diapers.  It shows its committment to its audience which I think is one of the most important things Bambino Diapers does.  It listens to its customers and wants to make them happy.  I have always wanted a booster pad such as this because it extends the life of not only the Bambino Diaper but also some of my lesser diapers.  I highly reccommend you at least try the Bambino Duo because even though it may give off the look of a typical booster pad I think the material, scent, and absorbancy of the booster completely makes this an amazing booster.

How I Put My Diaper On

Thursday, April 16th, 2009

So, I get a lot of questions on how exactly I go about putting my diaper on and I see a lot of posts on message boards on the best way to put a diaper on.  So, I am going to tell you what works with me.  This is not to say it is the best for you but it works the best for me.  It also varies by diaper how I do it but mostly remains the same.

For the typical Bambino Diaper that I wear most often – I usually put it on while I am laying down.  It is easier and also gives me the best fit.  So, first I spread out the diaper in front of me making sure every thing is unfolded properly.  Then, I put the powder actually on the diaper before I get down on it so I can see where it all goes and there is no need to actually put the powder on any of my ‘areas’ if I put enough on the actual diaper seat, backing, and front area.  Then, I lay down on it positioning the diaper so that the diaper is higher in the back and comes just below my belly button in the front.

Then, being careful to keep the flaps straight when taping the diaper otherwise it can get that ‘cutting into you feeling’ if you happen to have tight clothes on (i.e. me with my typically tight jeans).  I always tape up the top tabs first so that I can position my legs afterwards to make sure that diaper is correctly aligned on my body before taping up the bottom ones.  You want to allow your legs to be able to move freely and not tape the two lower tabs too low otherwise it can cause discomfort in multiple ways.  So, I tape the two bottom tabs still laying down.  Some people say they stand up to do that but I have never done it that way.

Once the diaper is fully taped up, I stand up and make sure everything looks good.  Sort of wiggle my legs to get the seat of the diaper ‘loose’ and I will typically fold the front of the Bambino Diaper down a bit.  I like that little blue colors in the front of the Bambino’s when you fold it down – I don’t know I think it kind of has a cute and babyish look to it but, that is just me.  So, nothing complicated or extravagant but for those wondering how I put my diapers on – there you go.

The only advice I have is to not tape the tabs too tight otherwise it can cause a lot of discomfort that you necessarily won’t feel immediately but as you move about the day, the tightness will definitely become more prevalent and start cutting into you if its too tight and be very discomforting.  So, make it snug I guess is the keyword here.  A snug diaper is a perfect diaper after all.  And, a little thing I always do if I am not wearing any pants is I like to have the little ‘pouch’ of the seat of the diaper (esp. the Bambino’s do this well) stick out.  I don’t know what it is but its something that I like to do so I will typically maneuver the diaper so as to get that little pouch sticking out between the seat of the diaper and back.  I am sure some of you know what I am referring too…lol sort of hard to describe.

Dressing Room in Diapers

Tuesday, March 3rd, 2009

I know I haven’t been able to post lately but I have been dealing with a few family issues so I have been really busy but everything is back to normal so expect a lot more posts.  So, anyways I would like to start off my latest post with a little story of an outing I had with one of my good girlfriends this past weekend.  We went to one of the local malls and tried on some clothes.  Here is one of the photos she took of me while we were in the dressing room in the official Levi store:

*Here is the photo reposted since I have gotten many requests for it*

See the scarf in the picture…OMG I wanted that scarf so bad but it was like $28 and I couldn’t bring myself to buying it.  The dressing room attendent person pretty much left us alone while we were trying clothes which I appreciated because I hate sales attendants that sit there and bother you the whole time.  Anyways, as you can see I had on my Bambino diaper which I typically wear out when I am going to be out for a long time which let me tell you we definitely were out for a long time so that diaper came in handy.  My girl friend thinks the Bambino diaper with the little blocks are like the cutest thing ever.  But, she has known about me wearing diapers for a long time so its not really a big deal to her.  But, I ended up buying a pair of white jeans (I know – crazy isn’t it) from there which I might post a photo of those soon as well.  But, overall the shopping trip was pretty succesful (succesful = buying quite a few things).  I didn’t even have to change my diaper once while we were out which was good…thank God for Bambino Diapers.

Bambino Diapers NEW Website and Prices

Monday, March 2nd, 2009

Wow.  I just noticed Bambino Diapers new website when I went to go order two more cases today.  Its truly amazing the site looks great AND they lowered their prices by about $10-$12 a case.  Truly phenomenal if you ask me.  They usually have a press release when they make changes and I found the press release so here it is:

New prices for a new website, baby! Leading Adult Baby Products retailer BambinoDiapers.com creates a new customer-friendly website with lower prices to celebrate 2 successful years in business.

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) March 2, 2009 — Leading adult baby products retailer BambinoDiapers.com launched a new customer-friendly, technology-driven website today. The website, a production of parent company The Bottom Half Group, LLC, also lowered its prices substantially on all of its popular items, including the best-selling Bambino Diapers adult baby products.

Originally launched in early 2007 as an alternative to mass-market diaper products, BambinoDiapers.com has always offered incredibly interesting products that appeal to adult babies and diaper lovers. Its two core product offerings – the printed Bambino Classico diaper and the all-white Bambino Bianco diaper – have propelled the website and the company to the top of the large adult baby diaper product market.

The company is celebrating the launch of its new website technology, which will allow customers to place orders more easily and track already-placed purchases, with a significant price reduction in its existing prices. Prices were lowered as much as 15%, making the new Bambino Diapers prices some of the most competitive prices on the internet for adult diapers, let alone adult baby diapers. The pricing is live now on the new BambinoDiapers.com website.

Giovanni Panno, marketing director for BambinoDiapers.com, notes that “our company has always been one about value and quality for our customers. We hope that the new website and price drop are the first step in what will be a wonderful year for Bambino customers, with new products and new community-oriented items coming soon!”

When asked for details regarding what new products or community features the company was proposing, Panno had no comment other than: “I know you’ll be excited. That’s all I can say!”
BambinoDiapers.com invites customers to visit its new website at BambinoDiapers.com for more information on its quality adult baby products, lower pricing, and new forthcoming community features.

Improved Bambino Diaper vs “Older” Version Bambino Diaper

Thursday, February 12th, 2009

Well, I have got many requests for comparing side by side the new Bambino Diaper to the older one.  Here is two comparison photos – take into account I already had opened this diaper but you should be able to get the general idea of the thickness comparison. (NOTE: I only have the Bambino Bianco diaper not the Classico in the new version – but its being compared to a Classico)

(NOTE: Thanks to DailyDiaper user YkDave for the first two images for comparison)

The new one is on the left and the “older” version is on the right…hopefully this helps some…I didn’t have very many of the new version but this is what I got – hopefully this helps :-)

Bambino Diapers Update-Review

Sunday, February 8th, 2009

Well, with the recent news of the new inner-lining technology that Bambino Diapers has introduced and they have obviously taken feedback from customers because check out the Bambino Diapers now.  Take in mind I opened the diaper a little bit already but they have “loosened the core” to make the diaper back to that thicker feel and look like they originally had PLUS the new soft inner lining makes it absolutely amazing.  Take a look at the gallery below for some photos:

As you can see the diaper isn’t as compacted and is a lot thicker looking.  That is awesome that Bambino Diapers truly listens to their customers and is so focused on what they want.  Bambino Diapers proves over and over again that they can deliver an amazing product and that is why they are my favorite diapers :-) I know everyone has their own tastes and this just happens to be mine.  But, I really must tell you though – you must try them as the new lining – well its VERY SOFT – like it feels amazing against my skin and on my bottom.  Its very nice.  And as always the performance of these diapers are absolutely amazing.  But, I just wanted to share with everyone this quick review of the what I guess I would call the “revised” Bambino Diapers.  Try em – your gonna love em!
