At home:
Lay out the diaper, completely unfolded. Apply powder to diaper, making sure I get the whole thing, especially the crotch and leg gathers (helps prevent chafing). Sit down in approximately the right spot on it, making sure the male equipment is pointed downwards. Pull the diaper up as I lay back, then wiggle a little to fine tune the position. Apply top tapes first (I’m a righty, so I always start on the upper right side), then I stand up. Snug up the diaper, pulling the inner (front) wings upwards a bit without loosening the top tapes. This snugs up the leg gathers. Then I apply the bottom tapes, wiggle again (for settling the diaper in place) and I’m done.

In public restroom:
Find a clean stall. Drop the pants, tucking the loose end of my belt behind itself in the first beltloop to the right of the zipper (I always have stuff on my belt that wants to fall off). Make sure I’m done using the diaper, then untape it and let it lay open in my pants to catch any stray drips. Pull out the wipes and clean off. Use skin cream if needed, wipe off hands again. Pull out fresh diaper, unfold it, hold the back of it with one hand behind me and pull the front up between legs. Hold legs together to keep diaper up while I apply tape tabs, similar to how I do it laying down. Apply powder down front and back of diaper, and pat the front and back while running a finger around the leg gathers to distribute powder. Pull pants up, tuck in shirt, done.

Diaper disposal:
At home, I have a dedicated garbage can near the back door that gets emptied at least once a week, usually more often than that. In a restroom, I’ll put the used diaper in a zip-lock bag and carry it to the garbage can in my diaper bag for discreet disposal.

Read all of you posts – sounds like every one has a complicated way to diaper oneself (with out a helper). At first I had occasional accidents – now I have to wear a diaper at night from after dinner to morning. I have cloth diapers and Bambinos plus the largest insert.

i know exactly where my tabs should be for a tight fit and therefore make my diaper look like Jockey shorts. Before I put my diaper shorts on i place my insert in between my legs in up front for a guy. I then wiggle a little until everything is comfortable and in place. This has worked for me now for over two years. When I go out shopping I carry two already taped shorts with me, should I need to change in a bathroom using the toilet stall I can with out using the floor.

Give it a try you soon will know how to take a diaper and transform it into a super pull-up!

I have a problem, my bottom tapes always come loose or come off. Do you have that problem? If so How did you correct it?

You said that if you aren’t wearing trousers then you pull the seat of your nappy down. What is the best way to deal with the seat when you are wearing trousers or shorts?

I started wearing diapers when I was younger. The fetish thing. I enjoyed the security and the comfort of them. Now karma has a way of reeling its ugly head.

I have had several bad UTI’s. And because of this I now get to wear them so I don’t embarrass myself in public or ruin furniture.

So on to the placement issue. I start off by using desitin on my diaper area, I have been having rash problems. Then I place the Molicare on the wall and I stand up to it. I adjust it so that the top is at the small of my back. Then I bring the diaper up between my legs and then I adjust the leg tapes first. I have tried the top ones first but I don’t get the fit I need. I am a heavy wetter so the legs are quite snug. I then use some powder so that it will go where the desitin missed. Then I tape up the top of the diapers. I run a finger inside the leg gathers so that the outer plastic of the diaper is on the outside. and there ya go. I can go an entire day at work in one Molicare. Nice feel and I like the crinkle sound that only I can hear. I think.
