My Opinion of Non-Incontinent Diaper Users

My opinion of people who wear diapers and are not incontinent is not negative at all. Just because I am incontinent does not mean I don’t enjoy the same thing about wearing diapers as the rest of the community. While, I came to love diapers probably in a different way than most of you as I grew up wearing them while many other ABDLs stumbled upon them or somehow found a love for wearing diapers. While, I don’t regard my love for diapers as “fetish” because I do not focus on them or see them as a sexual object or in a sexual way. I see it as more of enjoyment, fun, comfort, security, and also a little bit of fashion! But, I recognize many people in the community do not see it like this solely and do see it in a more sexual way or in other ways. I am a very free and open person and I do not judge others. My opinion of people who wear diapers that don’t need them is that I am happy for you and glad you found something that makes you feel good, so long as you are not hurting anyone else. I am a big believer in not letting diapers or any other “fetish” or what not cause a major hindrance on your social life.
I have a strong connection to the ABDL community and I find us very different from other communities. This adult baby and diaper lover community is different kind of community because it doesn’t completely center around sexual connotations and ideas. Many people who wear diapers are just doing it for the comfort, security, sounds, etc. This is a far-cry from many other “fetish” or communities in my opinion because they focus more on the sexual side while the ABDL community does not focus on that as much. Which, in my opinion makes us special and an outlier among all the communities. I am honestly proud to be part of the ABDL community and to meet so many wonderful people. And because I am feeling good – I included a recent photo below!

I was under the impression that the “ABDL” term was always associated with sexual fetishes. As i agree with the post, i don’t think the “ABDL” community necessarily includes the people that wear just for a “childhood-comfort-nostalgia-relaxation”. I thought the definition for a Diaper Lover is someone that has a sexual need for diapers, or see it as a sex object. I guess you ARE in the “ABDL” crowd, but your baby side is pretty mild, and don’t have any sexual need to wear. Still, i bet tons of people in the community envy your condition. Keep up the good work
Great Blog you got here, The way i found i was interested in nappies/Diapers i was in a bicycle accident Car Vs Bike never goes well and i was in hospital for couple weeks and refused to catheter and the only other option was nappies/diapers so i choice that i had a damaged my spine not broken it or anything i can still walk but because it was so bruised i had to wear them because i was temporally disabled since then I have worn every couple of days for fun nothing sexual

I think you are right Adrian, diaper lovers are people who enjoy diapers for the comfort and the feel etc which is different to fetish who are people that enjoy for their sexual reasons. I am a 100% diaper lover and enjoy just wearing and using them. I say fair play to the fetish lovers, go for it, its just not my cup of tea.
Adrian, when you post a picture onto a subject could you also put your picture into your photography section as well. It makes it a bit difficult to find the photo if I want to re visit? Thanks
I am happily diapered 24/7 and have been since 1982. I had some “issues” back then that caused me to start wearing diapers full time. I enjoy my thick wet cloth diapers and occasionally get to enjoy a messy one.
I have to wonder how many people would be more relaxed if they started to wear diapers.
It should not matter the reason one wears diapers after all it is a personal choice unless a person is incontinent and has to.

I feel bad that the community has such a bad rap despite the fact that it’s not outright sexual in any way. Perhaps that would be a good thing to blog about? I dunno, I’d just like to year your voice on the matter.

i’m not incontinent but i don’t wear them for sexual pleasure. More for just comfort.
I believe that Ryan is confused…ABDL in the way I have always been taught is viewed as Adult Baby & Diaper Lover not Adult Baby Diaper Lover. The ABDL community is made up of both groups of people.

I want to just weigh in on this, there are two kinds of DL/AB’s and maybe a third of those who have fascination with it. Those who love all things diapers including (using them) is absolutely fine with me. Sometimes we have to back to our roots. (When our moms put us in diapers because it was the right thing to do.)
Enjoying diapers for sexual pleasure is a destructive tool that it ends up hurting a relationship. Some may disagree with me and say that such activities help to strengthen a relationship when both participants have the same goals. As for me, I simply enjoy wearing them. The third group who are not yet sure what side of the fence they are on. There are even some people I have spoken with say they are afraid to expose the secret of “Liking diaper”s one way or another. If you have a fear, tell someone. We are to help one another within and outside the AB/DL community to help the issue to be acceptable amongst society as a whole.
I just want to say, again, I really enjoy hearing your stories. You have a great outlook in life. Keep up the good posts… I look forward to reading them.
There still are large groups of perverted/depraved ABDLs though. Like the retards who spam bedwetting or incontinence forums. Plenty of perverts wallow in the unmoderated forums where everything they say tends to BE sexual lies and fantasies. The good communities have to fortify themselves against them

For the record I’d like to say “Thank You Very Much!” for your frequent postings and photos which display a genuinely wonderful attitude so neccessary for the welfare of all for whom these websites are created to serve. There is a dearth of poorly presented AB/DL postings on these websites trending towards chaotic thought processes, negativity from low self-esteem and poor self-expression, commonly utilizing poor grammer, which tend to water down the neccessary support for which many of us frequent these resources. Your forum postings and blog compostions though the years continue to consistently contribute to the overall wealth of positive information and emotional support so neccessary for many of us here in order to create lives of general well-being and self-worth which in concert are building a wonderful AB/DL community. A community of which I am personally proud to be part of!

I am diaper lover with a little bit of adult babyness. I am not incontinent and I wouldn’t want to be. Although wetting a diaper is very pleasurable the hassle of having to wear diapers all the time and looking for discrete places to change them would get tiring after awhile. I would like it if I could make myself incontinent for a specified time. For example I am going to be incontinent for 7 days and nights, or I am going to wet my bed tonight and not wake up or remember doing it. I don’t think most ABDL would like being incontinent ALL the time—for the rest of their lives.

Not everyone who wears diapers are incontinent, and not everyone who likes diapers are Adult Babies or Diaper Lovers. It’s difficult to put a catagory on these kind of diaper wearers.
