Hey Everyone, Its Kay!

Hi everyone!
As Adrian mentioned a few posts back, my name is Kay and I wear diapers 24/7. I will be posting as a guest on Adrianne’s blog on occasion and want to use this first opportunity to delve into why I wear diapers 24/7 and my experiences and transition into diapers.

Kay Diapered Girl

I have, and have always had a relatively small bladder and an overactive bladder at that. Leaks and discomfort were a part of my every day life, and I accepted that as normal. That was, until, about a year ago, I was introduced to the option of wearing adult diapers as a solution to my bladder problems. I was a bit nervous at first and wasn’t sure if wearing diapers was for me. But I was also curious and tired of the minor bladder mishaps discomfort that were becoming a part of my every day life. I began wearing diapers at home and on my commute to and from work. Slowly I began to build confidence in diapers and began to wear them at work as well. It was amazing! I no longer had to worry about how much and what I was drinking during the day for fear that I would spend most of my day needing to or going to the bathroom.

I began wearing diapers 24/7 about four months ago with the intent of allowing myself to relax and to have decreasing amounts of control over my bladder. Essentially I am working toward incontinence with the hope that it will make larger wettings less frequent and allow for me to pass liquids through my body without the discomfort of pressure in my bladder. Because I pretty much always had to go to the bathroom before my introduction to diapers, regardless of amount of fluids consumed, the challenge for me is more mental than physical, teaching myself to relax and not hold on to anything – not to be afraid to wet my diaper in any public or private setting. I have made some great progress over the past few months and am having a lot of fun experimenting with diferent diapers, learning what materials, absorbancies and styles I like. I feel healthier and happier than ever and feel that I owe those feelings, not only to diapers, but to the person in my life that introduced me to wearing them. I heart diapers!

I hope that everyone had a great holiday season and a very happy new year.

Kay

    hey kay,

thanks for sharing your experiences with diapers and i am glad they are helping you live a much more enjoyable life! i don’t wear 24/7 myself but have thought about it. my biggest problem is the same as you….dealing with the mental part of relaxing my bladder. still having some trouble with that but it’s a slow process. having to undo all the potty training is hard!

anyway, i wish you much luck and hope everything works out for you!

    have a great weekend :-)

Thank you for telling us about yourself.

I do have a question (or two) – what brand have you settled on for day-to-day wear and why?

I am glad that you’ve found a way to manage the problems in a way that works very well for you. :) Too many people I know hate the thought of diapers, but I find them to be much better than some of the alternatives (like running to the bathroom all the time or wearing a tiny pad that (for me) tends to shift.

Hey! It’s great to see another 24/7 wearer posting. I’ve been wearing 24/7 since April 2008 and it has been absolutely great so far. It took a few months to get into… but it has really made a difference in my life as far as toileting habits go. Please share more of your wonderful experiences with us! Sometimes diapers are just the logical choice.

I hope your inclination also fulfills its full mission and leads to the full and proper use of diapers, which icludes all bodily functions and not just peeing in them. I don’t see the point of wanting to use diapers unlesds you use them fully. Believe me, I went through the same passage and you need to let yourself go – no pun intended – and experience the freedom FULLY by pooping as well as wetting your diapers!!

Welcome, Kay. hank you for deciding to share your experiences with all of us.

Hey its interesting that you say you have to watch you fluid intake. I have never really thought about it but I feel I do the same with my fluid intake. If I drink to much I know all im going to be doing is running to the bathroom most of the time during the day. I have always taken it as just part of my life and never given any thought to it. I know I have to go urgently sometimes. But yea Thanks Sean

I Think its great that you are so open about your feelings and are trusting enough to tell others about it. I say stick with it and good luck.

    Hi
I think it so cool what you write.
I just have one question: How did you (Kay) meet Adrian?

  10. CDB says:

    Hey there Kay,

It’s good to hear that you’ve found such a sense of balance in your life. I’ve dealt with a lot of incontinence issues as well, and I know just where you are coming from. There’s such a feeling of confidence when you are wearing a diaper; you know you can relax and it will be okay.

Looking forward to hearing more from you in the future.

hi kay, i also have a small bladder. ive been bedwetting since i was young so i really only need to wear a diaper to bed. i dont wear during the day since i can always find a toilet. for those of us who do have a bladder problem we should talk about it.

  12. cosmo says:

ok so i like wearing diapers but its wierd though 2 me cause feel all babyish but the feel is amazing it started when i was looking through the closet that holds the shoes an i saw a adult diaper so i brought it up stairs just 2 feel it i tried it on and wet it cause i drank alot and i had 2 go and it was convinient and then i had 2 sneak it out of my house 2 the trash but i found more the nxt day and im on the last one right now and and im scared 2 go 2 the store 2 buy more

  13. Andy says:

Cosmo, you can buy them over the intenet usually with discrete packaging available. If you can’t get them delivered to home, how about a PO Box address?

  14. susan j says:

Samantha, I have to agree with you on the total commitment part. Although I don’t mind having a mess in my diapers, I hate having to change them. I wear Molicares during the day and wont change till I get home. IF I end up with a mess in them I just keep it in there till I get home. I can go several hours with it in there and not develop a rash. Changing is such a lousy experience, that I often procrastinate and just stay in it. ONce it is sat upon, I really don’t notice it at all.

  15. Andy says:

    Susan,

I know how you feel to some degree although I mess my nappie through enjoyment rather than need, I do feel an anti climax after I have messed myself when I remember that I have to clean myself. I do look forward to next time though. Does anyone know why we haven’t heard from Kay?

  16. ian says:

hi susan.i take it when you say mess you mean no 2’s.Does the smell not make you feel akward when you are in public. i have only no 2 a couple of times when i’ve been at home and i tiught that if that was in a public place i wouldn’t know what to do.
ANDY.hi mate. i totally get you with the changing thing. i do’nt mind changing a wet nappie but hate a loaded one.that and the smell are the reasons a don’t really do it altho it does feel good when i have done.
    cheers guys.
