Review: Bambino Diapers

Bambino Diaper

Many people have tried the famous Bambino Diaper but still many have not and I want to take the time to make a professional and in-depth review of the diaper.  Before I begin I just want to say Bambino Diapers are the best ABDL diaper on the market today that incorporates not only the “babyish” pattern but also thickness and absorbtion.  There are other diapers such as Abena Abri-Form, Molicare, Secure X-plus, etc. but they do not incorporate that babyish feel to them like a Bambino Diaper does.

The diaper itself is plastic on the outside with a babyish tape across the front.  There is NO outer cloth covering, which is good because I hate that.  It is a nice soft plastic feel and in my opinion resembles the old style pampers diapers remarkably well.  When you tape the diaper on the elastic waistband helps to hold it to your body snug so it gives that nice comfortable fit to it.  It feels extraordinarily secure and comforting once on.  If you have never tapped into you AB side well then putting on this diaper makes you just want to curl up under a blanket with a pacifier or bottle…it really gives that babyish feel.

In regards to bulkiness it is bulky which some people like and some people don’t.  I LOVE the bulkiness of the diaper because in my honest opinion it is the perfect bulk.  Its not extremely bulky like the Abena Abri-Form X-Plus is but close.  It better forms to your body in my opinion.  Bambino Diapers hold a ton of urine and I am not going to sit there and measure exactly how much urine it holds but let me put it this way – as a woman (peeing straight down as opposed to a man who gets the extra absorption of the front of the diaper) I was able to wet it 3-4 times pretty thoroughly and it never leaked.  Obviously, I had to change after that because I did not want to risk diaper rash but its nice to be able to wet your diaper and not worry about leaks all the time.  And the big question of how it holds fecal matter (poopy) – perfectly!  It conforms to your body but leaves enough room for it to come out – I know, graphic.  But, it fits snug but the diaper is not so tight that your poopy can’t come out.  When it comes out, it sits perfectly in the seat of your diaper and I have never had it ever leak out the sides or anything.  Its also worth noting that it does remarkably well it keeping the smell inside the diaper better than other diapers I have tried.

Overall, Bambino Diapers are the real deal.  They cover almost every detail an ABDL person could want.  There is no stuffing bunching up which so many others diaper are famous for doing.  The diaper holds better than 95% of the diapers on the market, it has the plastic feel, the babyish look, good bulkiness, and of course their shipping is discreet and professional which is always important to many people.  I highly recommend these diapers.

I agree. Those are the greatest diapers I’ve ever worn!!

I know you don’t like photo requests, and I understand why, but would it possible to post some pictures of just the diapers – not being worn or anything. Just close ups of the pattern on the front, the tapes, the inside etc.

Am in the UK and can (at the moment) only dream of having some of these :(

HI, I’m glad you put up another post! I was starting to worry! :b Good review!

Ah the coveted Bambino! I’d like to add to your review if I may Stacey.

Personally I dislike the design on the front, but not entirely. You see a while back someone must have goofed up at the Bambino factory and printed the design on the front wrong. Basically it looked as if the motive was accidentally “zoomed” in on. So in an attempt to describe it better, the pattern is just bigger, all the same colors and so on, just bigger. I happen to like this goofed up design much more than the original. I don’t know why really, to me it’s a subtle change that made all the difference.

Unfortunately they were considered a mistake by the folks at Bambino and sold off I believe at a reduced price. I never got my hands on them because I didn’t find out about them until after the fact.

None the less I turned to ebay and wouldn’t you know, found a sample of them. It was just two but it was enough.

I don’t wear diapers myself, I’m a “daddy” by nature so I had to convince my wife “that I really liked the design of these and heard all sorts of good things about Bambino diapers…” She’s not really into AB/DL by nature, so the topic of diapers are at times a little touchy I guess is the best way to put it. I have to be careful, though most of the time she’s pretty open and willing. So I went ahead and described to her what I had purchased and she was interested in seeing them when they came.

Well let me just say first and foremost, these are like no other adult diaper. I don’t just mean the goofed up ones I mean Bambinos in general. After I got my order we got a chance to play one evening, and the first thing I noticed was they were scented with a wonderful powdery smell that like some kind of potpourri just lightly scented the air with it’s delicate aroma. Her body heat and I’m thinking the warmth from wetting the diaper just made the heavenly scent even stronger. But I’m getting ahead of myself. The next thing I noticed was how thick the diaper and plastic was. Not thick like Abena X-plus but plenty thick. I was a little worried actually if she was going to be interested in something that thick. The plastic backing was obviously a very quality plastic, silky smooth to the touch but thick enough not to tear easily, and very crinkly, though not overly. Then I realized these diapers were cut differently from others, they looked more comfortable without even having to put it on. Then the two tapes are placed much closer together than usual as well. There’s less than two inches between the tapes vs. the usual 3+ inches on other diapers. In my opinion they are cut to fit a woman’s shape much better than anything else we’ve tried. And my opinion may actually be fact because it was the first time she had ever said a diaper fit comfortably!!! The night went on and she was perfectly happy wearing the Bambino, and I was perfectly happy seeing her wearing it. She wet several times, of course, no leaks and nothing bogged or sagged or clumped. The Bambino performed perfectly.

As far as I’m concerned, the Bambino is the best thing to ever come to the adult diaper market. And with that being said the best thing to ever come to the AB/DL diaper market as well. I believe a fellow AB/DL once said in a blog or something of that nature that Americans don’t know what a good diaper is… they may have been right, that is, until Bambino came along. Great job Bambino!

So to wrap this up, I was now hooked and on a mission to find as many of these goofed up Bambinos as I could find and luckily I came across a lot of them. It cost me a small fortune to collect them all, but we have a nice stash of them now. Perhaps I can convince them to print more like that someday when I run out or maybe I’ll just have to go with the Bianco’s.

    Thanks for reading. Take care.

Adrian: Thanks for your comments on Bambinos – I’m defintely going to try them!! Having bowel incontinence makes me very picky about my diapers, and they MUST hold a good amount and not come out the sides when I sit. Which is my only concern.question for you on them – you said they didn’t leak out the sides, but how about when sitting in a mess for a bit. You know how it is; its unavoidable sometimes, to have to sit in a poopy diaper. Your description was very good, and I thank you!

just wondering do all the ladies use the back of the diaper up to the waist for urine absorption before changing or not ?

  7. superbaby says:

Maybe if we get enough people, we can have a new print on the bambinos. Whaddya think? Maybe you could post it on your blog??

  8. Jason says:

I’m afraid I’ve never tried Bambino adult diapers, so I can’t really make a comment one way or another. My only complaint is that it’s not available in stores. If I wanted to buy some, even a sample, I’d have to order online. I’d love to see some in Medical Supply stores. That’s where I buy my diapers.

I havent tried the bambino diapers yet but I cant wait

  10. Count Droopy Drawers says:

    Well done on the review!
I’d certianly like to see you post maybe reviews on other diapers out there, since you do a good review :)

Yes… I know. That means you’d have to wear somethin’ other than your most comfy’est and choice diaper… but you do write a review that’s slicker than a harpooned hippo, in a bananna tree.
